Auch wenn man es kaum glauben kann: Das nordfriesische Fredenbüll ist alles andere als verschlafen. Mord und Totschlag wie in der Großstadt sind hier an der Tagesordnung. Und so wird Thies Detlefsen in seinem vierten Fall gleich mit zwei Frauenleichen, die der Mörder in einer Jauchegrube entsorgt hat, konfrontiert. Als wären diese Morde nicht schon übel(riechend) genug, verschwindet auch noch Pensionswirtin Renate. Da bleibt dem Dorfpolizisten nicht anderes übrig, als sich schleunigst an die Fersen des "skandinavischen" Serienkillers zu heften...
