My Least Favorite of the Series so Far

I really love this series, but this was my least favorite. I'm not saying it was bad, but really didn't like most of the characters in this book.

Faith is sweet, but too passive, "Mom" is terrible, Hunter was sweet enough, but a bit lacking also.

Again, good enough, but not as good as first three books. Not stopping me from downloading book 5

Love Keating Hollows & the sisters!

Addicting and very difficult to stop listening!! Both the author and the narrator did a fabulous job with this story. I loved listening to both Faith and Hunters’ story!!
This book in particular seemed to be a bit difficult for all of the Townsend sisters as someone from their past comes into town. Pick this book to discover who!!
Great series and I’m looking forward to listening to the next one.

Darker Material and Pacing Whiplash 3.5

So I continue to love this series, lots of drama and fun, but I will say although this installment was good, not as good as the last and considerably more dark drama and less fun. I think some other listeners have mentioned Faith is not my favorite of the Townsend sister (and in case you were wondering their birth order from eldest to youngest as I may have written out a family tree to keep names/partners/children/friends straight: Yvette, Noel, Abby, Faith). I can't quite point to something specific except Faith did not feel as engaging or fully fleshed out as the other sisters and often because the focus of the story felt more on larger overarching family dynamics. And oh my what intense family dynamics. A lot of more intense material discussed in this book as others have mentioned and some things happening in scene and not simply mentioned as history. I was completely drawn into the dynamics between the sisters and the family issues but often found myself more interested in that then in Faith. I also felt like I had whiplash with the pacing and acceptance and moving forward around some major trauma that was happening in the story. Again I know these paranormal melodrama romances often are a suspension of belief and love conquers all the red flags and it's all fine, and everyone should overlook major trauma and just move in together but woof this was a bit much. I think some of this solidified how I just did not feel in step with Faith and Hunter, and frankly found Brian to seem much more captivating, interesting, and healthy(?). The Hunter and Faith coupling just felt off to me and a lot of major issues around how Hunter handled things and what both he and Faith went through felt totally hand waved. I was actually thrilled to get to the last chapter and getting to focus on a new and different protagonist for the next volume, Hanna Pelsh. And yet again even in this chapter we have some break neck relationship jumping happening which seems to be a theme in these tales. Again solid entry, not my favorite but added a lot of history to the family and allowed the audience a glimpse into the struggles within the siblings. Glad I listened but ready to get to the next volume.

Another lovely story

I just love this series, it’s a wonderful mix of fantasy and real life. A world full of magic but also relatable because they face real life problems and over come them. In this book we learn more about the sisters past and we have a few questions answered. Also there is an awesome golf cart race, I now need to start golf cart racing. Lol

Can't wait for the next one.

I love the sisters and their friends. Faith just opened her spa and it's doing pretty well. Hunter comes back into town with more than a few secrets. We find out more about their mother that abandoned the 4 sisters. I love these witches.

Great addition to the series

Keating Hollow sounds like a place I would love to live if it was real Faith and Hunter's story is a wonderful addition to the series with a few twist and turns. the writer makes you believe in the story and you end up invested what is happening and what is going to happen next. So happy that all the sisters have meet their match and have blended families. Very interested as to where to next and can not wait for the next one.

Shocking & Dark - Yet a Page Turner For Sure

Hells Bells this series took a bit of a dark and dismal turn, but I greatly applaud Chase for bravely facing difficult subjects that most authors shy from. Abandonment, addiction, loss, orphans and foster families… in that sense this book could be a bit of a trigger for anyone who’s been in a similar situation. She really does NOT candy coat the struggles of addiction and how it affects everyone around the addict. Not just the short-term struggles; the long-term effects as well. The emotional, the physical… nothing is as rosy as the previous books. I’ll be honest, this book was gut-wrenching and after reading about 3 previous sisters and their history & childhood, you have formed such a bond with them that you really do feel their pain as they struggle to face their most painful childhood memory – the abandonment of their mother. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, but from the beginning, this book is FULL of surprises, twists, and turns. None of which you ever see coming. It really is like a soap opera and made me audibly gasp in shock several times throughout the book. If you’re sensitive, keep on truckin’. You’ll be glad you did. It does wrap up the sisters’ stories pretty well, but there are plenty other stories for other friends and minor characters within the town to keep going. Looking forward to what will come next!

Excellent

Faith & Hunter’s story is one that I could see playing out in real life. The storyline is interesting and entertaining and the characters are likable and believable. The narrator did an excellent job! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Amazing PNR story

This is the 4th story in the series, can be read alone, but I highly recommend the other books as well. Such an amazing and intense story of Faith and her sisters. I so love the small town and family aspects of this series and how all the stories mingle a bit. I love Evettes story the best, but this is a very close second.
