A clean historical western cowboy romance.
When Torsten O'Conner's false love leaves him for another man, he decides a change of scenery just might be in order. His brother, Kieran, is now the mayor of New Hope, Montana, and the prospect of putting Ireland far behind him and starting fresh as a homesteader in America might be just the thing.
But the life of a homesteader isn't just hard, it's brutally lonely. At his friends' urging, Torn writes off for a wife from the east only to have a villain from his past arrive on the train.
Can Torn let go of his old feeling and put down his demons in order to take a chance on love?

Very entertaining and enjoyable. Of the stories in the series I have read so far this is my favorite. Really good, fun, clean romance with a HEA. Stories that are told with good old fashioned values. The stories keep getting better. This time we have some added suspense and mystery. The train is pulling into New Hope and this time it's Torsten who is waiting on the platform and expecting a Bride. Really liked the characters in this story. Torsten and Virginia(Jenny) were both really likable from the start. Again Moira, Gretchen and other favorites are back adding to the enjoyment of the story.
Charles D. Baker again narrates the latest addition to the series. I enjoyed his narration much more this time around. He has good character voices. The laugh was a bit calmer and more natural. His character voices are more defined. His female voices have always been good. Now I can't imagine listening to the stories without him as the narrator.

The narrator has the perfect western style voice for this series. He does accents very well and I appreciate that each voice was unique. Well done!

The story begins with rancher Torsten (Torn), the male lead. He is at the train station waiting with friends, to meet his mail order bride Ginny. As Ginny gets off the train, she sees her intended being hugged by another female. From that point , the story gets interesting as assumptions create for misunderstandings. With someone trying to cause trouble in the city, emotions and jealousy go out of control.
I was curious about the notes that Ginny found. I had an idea about how she would receive them. But, wanted to know more about them. I also understand people must keep proper appearances in front of people. But this also creates tension and at times I didn't like Torn's personality.
Narration by Charles D. Baker was once again magnificent. I enjoyed the clean voice, the tones, the accents, and the emotions in the different characters. He makes the stories and characters come alive. ♡

Charles D Baker still is giving us wonderful performances. I love his Irish brogue. He makes me smile and cry, all indication that he is a wonderful narrator.
