I have always believed dreams are not random flickers of imagination, but coded messages from the deepest layers of the mind. With a master’s degree in psychology and years of personal fascination with the unconscious, I found myself inevitably drawn to Sigmund Freud’s The Interpretation of Dreams. Freud suggested that dreams are the “royal road to the unconscious,” and I have come to believe this road runs straight through memory, guilt, desire, and loss.
The dreams in this book are all my own—revisited, expanded into narrative, and interpreted through an unashamedly Freudian lens. Across five recurring dreamscapes—churches and storms, collapsing classmates, lost journeys, and houses where time itself refuses to move—I attempt not only to recount what I saw, but what my psyche may be trying to say.
This is not merely a dream journal—it is an exploration. Each chapter is a journey inward.
