Modig, Aislin, and a host of characters are brought together in a series of seemingly unrelated events to find and kill a particularly nasty Queen. Along the way, they encounter UAPs, Grey aliens, corrupt government officials, cartel sicarios and FBI agents. They experience loss, hope, family, love, laughter, and friendship, while fighting an unimaginable enemy. Travel with our heroes through 12th century Wales and present day Chicago, as they expose an ancient dark and sinister presence that, while hiding in plain sight, has infiltrated the elite class, poisoned humanity in mind and body, sown conflict, and then fed off of the ensuing pain and suffering…for millennia. Their story is part coming of age, medieval century and continent-spanning adventure, conspiratorial thriller and science fiction fantasy. This is book one of four and sets the foundation for the adventures to come.

This is my first audiobook in sooooooo long (probably first in 10 years); the narrator was good but as a male narrator for female parts - that somewhat bothered me in the beginning; as the story telling continued on, I noticed I was able to put my annoyance aside and looked forward to listening for an hour or so every evening as I prepared dinner.
Now, it’s been a couple of days since I’ve finished this audiobook and honestly, I’m missing these characters in my life.
Cannot wait for book two and hear how the relationships continue to grow between the characters.
A delightful cliffhanger…

What really stood out to me were the characters. They felt so real, each dealing with their own struggles, and I couldn't help but root for them. The themes of love, loss, and friendship added a depth that made the adventure even more compelling. Plus, the pacing was spot-on – enough twists to keep me engaged without overwhelming me.
Dream Crushers is a must-read. It's the kind of book that stays with you, making you think about the hidden forces that shape our world. If you're looking for a story that combines action, mystery, and genuine emotion, this is it. Being a sports mom with such a busy life, I made time to keep coming back to read this book. I loved that it was in an audio version as well. I may need to start reading again after this one, it was that good!
A great read
