Publisher's Summary

From New York Times bestselling author Aurora Rose Reynolds comes a flirty romantic comedy of big love and second chances.

Courtney Williams wanted forever. She got six years of empty promises, a divorce, and a well-deserved settlement that’s paid her way to Manhattan. She has a new home under renovation, a new job, and a do-over as a happy “single in the city” - until she meets an architect with designs on more than her beams. He’s also a devoted single dad, a great cook, and has dark lashes to die for. Too good to be true. Now all Courtney can do is whisper, Oh no, not again.

Divorced Lucas Fremont isn’t looking to get swept away. But how can he not with a woman this sweet and sexy? She’s making his broken heart beat fast. His sister-in-law, Fawn, says go for it. But as cautious as Courtney is, Lucas has to do more than that. He has to fight for it. Now all he can do is think, Don’t let this one get away.

But Courtney comes with a secret. And Lucas comes with a bitter ex. If love is to stand a chance, they’re going to have to take a chance.

The story was good. I love this series . Only down side was i think the male narrator speak too fast. I normally like him in other book, but this one i felt like he read a bit too fast.

Enjoyed!

I'm sad to see this series end because it was such a fun series. After meeting Lucas in previous books and how bad his wife treated him, I was so glad to see he got his own book. Courtney was such a sweet heroine. I loved her for Lucas and his daughter.

This is a pretty low angst book. There is drama with both of their exes but this couple stood strong together. Barely any pushing away. We really got to see this couple as a couple through out most of the book.

I listened to this on audible and both narrators were great. The male narrators voice was a bit too manly to pull off the daughter and women's voices but other than that, they were very good.

Finding love the second time around

Courtney has just relocated to NY after a messy divorce from her cheating ex. She’s heartbroken because she’s wanted family and couldn’t seem to get pregnant...now her ex’s gf is pregnant. But Courtney is determined to move on...and when she meets the architect who will be renovating her house...wow! Sparks fly! Courtney begins spending time with architect, and single dad, Lucas, and his adorable daughter...and falls hard...but is she making another mistake? Doesn’t help that her ex just won’t leave her alone...and then Lucas’ ex shows up seeming to want back her family.
Sweet story and I loved all of the characters. Great HEA.

🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Good grief was this written for teens from the 1950’s?? DNF because it is SO BORING!
Oh, and any woman who announces to a guy she’s interested in that she’s a size 14 (unasked) is an IDIOT. Also, who buys a People magazine for a six year old?? You don’t need to be a mom to know that’s not right, you just need common sense.
Oh, that’s right, she has none! She also has no personality, intelligence or charm. Why does he even like her? Beats me.
