Publisher's summary

Now the people know that the dragon minions of Takhisis, Queen of Dragons, have returned. The people of all nations prepare to fight to save their homes, their lives, and their freedom. But the races have long been divided by hatred and prejudice. Elven warriors and human knights fight among themselves. It seems the battle has been lost before it begins.

The companions are separated, torn apart by war. A full season will pass before they meet again - if they meet again. As the darkness deepens, a disgraced knight, a pampered elf maiden, and a rattle-brained kender stand alone in the pale winter sunlight.

Not much in the way of heroes.

Not as good as the first...

Not as good as the first, but still fun. The story wasn't as compelling. It jumped between so many characters that there wasn't one to focus on which was a bit of a let down. but over all i still enjoyed the ride

I love this series!!!

This story is so beautiful and narration was perfect IMO. Please give a listen if you love epic fantasy adventure intertwined with personal struggles within the characters!!

Well read.

If you're tired of high fantasy that's just a little too fantasy, then I recommend Dragonlance books because they are much more human stories than any I've read.

Finally, a worthwhile reader

I don't often leave reviews, but I am compelled by this recording.

Not since Peter McNichol's abridged version has this trilogy finally been read with character and depth. I am appreciative. I am grateful. I am pleased. This series has long-deserved this calibre of a narration.

So good

The narrator is a little too dry in his reading. He misses a lot of jokes and lightheartedness in his reading. It was still very very good, though. I do not dislike the narration and the story was as good as I had remembered.

A wonderful tale

A well performed excellent piece of written fantasy. It takes its reader to another land.

I really enjoyed it.

it's the second book in the series that I've listened to and I must say I've enjoyed them both. Great story and really cool performance.
