Publisher's Summary

Waking up in hell is not Del Bellator’s idea of a good time. She’d rather be back on earth, killing demons and hunting down magical treasure for her shop, Ancient Magic. Turns out escaping hell is easy - it’s staying out that’s hard.

Del's dragon magic is illegal in the supernatural world. Worse, she doesn’t know how to control it. And if others learn her secret, she’s dead. Things get ugly when the Warden of the Underworld shows up to drag her back to hell. He’s a one of a kind demon shifter - the sexiest, most powerful one she’s ever met - and he’s set his sights on her. Helping him catch an escaped demon gives her an opportunity to win her freedom, but only if she teams up with him to do it. She’ll have to use her forbidden magic to get the job done. And that is a recipe for discovery...and disaster.

Dragon’s Gift: The Seeker boxed set contains all five adventures in The Seeker series.

I think I would have loved to read this series.

Dragon's Gift: The Seeker Complete Series

By: Linsey Hall Narrated by: Laurel Schroeder

I liked the series and the imagination it took to create this unusual place. The characters were well developed and unique from other stories. I think I would have loved to read this series.

The narration was a bit juvenile. The cadence of the reading made it hard to become a part of the story; there was no attention given to punctuation or emotion. The story was read in 4-5 word statements, regardless of where the words were in relation to a sentence, idea, or even the character portrayed at the time. It was definitely a hard listen and I had to stop throughout the story and move onto something else for a while.

Overall, I have to dive the book an overall average rating of 2.5 stars; 4 for the story and 1 for the narration.

Awesomely Awesome!

Linsey has been on my tbr for awhile! I am so glad I finally had the chance to dive into this world! Laurel is a fabulous narrator! Loved this series and definitely will be getting the rest. My one and only complaint is the repetition in some of the phrasing of the writing. I think listening to them altogether is great, but due to the repetition, it gets tiresome on some aspects. If you read these individually or even out of order with breaks in between, I don't think you would catch it. For instance, yes she gets cold changing into her form, yes she can sense him without looking, by book 5 even 4, we as readers can grasp those concepts without them having to be explained everytime. Still a fabulous read!

After restarting what could have been an amazing story

The story series is a great read. Unfortunately this version was a disaster. Not the writers fault but the deplorable editing and the performer destroyed the intent of the writers theme with her almost robotic six words maximum and her retakes dropped in middle with different volume and improper sentence reflection. Five times i tried and couldn’t get past chapter eight. It was like fingers running down a blackboard with claws. Even adjusting the speed of playback did not remove the poor performance. Please recontract this as i would love to hear the series with a human non mechanical voice that actually enjoyed the series. My apologies if this is too harsh.

Good, would recommend for a pre-teen

I liked the thought of where the story was going. However, a lot of the sentences were repeated, and the vocabulary of the writer seemed limited for this reason.

Narration is atrocious!!

These may very well be good books, but I wouldn't know. In my opinion, Laurel Schroeder done a TERRIBLE performance. I absolutely could not listen to her "read", and that's what it sounded like. A preteen reading in front of the class. I had to stop listening to the books because of it.

Great Series

I really enjoyed listening to these books. I found the characters were an interesting fit with each other. I loved that you had a bit of a love story. When the fighting with the had demons was going on, you could feel the energy that was oozing out and you could also feel the exhaustion when the right's were over and done. Great time with all of the books!! Thank you and happy listening 😉

pretty good story.

I struggled to get into this book in the beginning, but after a few chapters I was hooked. The narrator does a great job with the different voices and accents. Would definitely recommend.

interesting and unique

When I see a book narrated by Ms. Schroeder, I know I'm in for a treat. She does both female and male voices with such ease making me wonder is it really one voice. Her accents and portrayal of emotions are well done.

I am glad this series comes in boxset and I was able to listen to the series without waiting. I thought I will be doing it in sections, but could not stop because the story kept me coming back for more. An exiting world, with unique paranormal powers with the main character, Del and her friends, Cass and Nix, along with their friends battling the Shadows to save humankind. There is a budding romance between Del and Roarke, I loved Roarke and how protective he is of her.

My first book from Ms. Hall, and I am looking forward to read Cass and Nix stories.
