Publisher's Summary

Waking up in hell is not Del Bellator’s idea of a good time. She’d rather be back on earth, killing demons and hunting down magical treasure for her shop, Ancient Magic. Turns out escaping hell is easy - it’s staying out that’s hard.

Del's dragon magic is illegal in the supernatural world. Worse, she doesn’t know how to control it. And if others learn her secret, she’s dead. Things get ugly when the Warden of the Underworld shows up to drag her back to hell. He’s a one of a kind demon shifter - the sexiest, most powerful one she’s ever met - and he’s set his sights on her. Helping him catch an escaped demon gives her an opportunity to win her freedom, but only if she teams up with him to do it. She’ll have to use her forbidden magic to get the job done. And that is a recipe for discovery...and disaster.

Dragon’s Gift: The Seeker boxed set contains all five adventures in The Seeker series.

I think I would have loved to read this series.

Dragon's Gift: The Seeker Complete Series

By: Linsey Hall Narrated by: Laurel Schroeder

I liked the series and the imagination it took to create this unusual place. The characters were well developed and unique from other stories. I think I would have loved to read this series.

The narration was a bit juvenile. The cadence of the reading made it hard to become a part of the story; there was no attention given to punctuation or emotion. The story was read in 4-5 word statements, regardless of where the words were in relation to a sentence, idea, or even the character portrayed at the time. It was definitely a hard listen and I had to stop throughout the story and move onto something else for a while.

Overall, I have to dive the book an overall average rating of 2.5 stars; 4 for the story and 1 for the narration.

Narration is atrocious!!

These may very well be good books, but I wouldn't know. In my opinion, Laurel Schroeder done a TERRIBLE performance. I absolutely could not listen to her "read", and that's what it sounded like. A preteen reading in front of the class. I had to stop listening to the books because of it.

Awesomely Awesome!

Linsey has been on my tbr for awhile! I am so glad I finally had the chance to dive into this world! Laurel is a fabulous narrator! Loved this series and definitely will be getting the rest. My one and only complaint is the repetition in some of the phrasing of the writing. I think listening to them altogether is great, but due to the repetition, it gets tiresome on some aspects. If you read these individually or even out of order with breaks in between, I don't think you would catch it. For instance, yes she gets cold changing into her form, yes she can sense him without looking, by book 5 even 4, we as readers can grasp those concepts without them having to be explained everytime. Still a fabulous read!

After restarting what could have been an amazing story

The story series is a great read. Unfortunately this version was a disaster. Not the writers fault but the deplorable editing and the performer destroyed the intent of the writers theme with her almost robotic six words maximum and her retakes dropped in middle with different volume and improper sentence reflection. Five times i tried and couldn’t get past chapter eight. It was like fingers running down a blackboard with claws. Even adjusting the speed of playback did not remove the poor performance. Please recontract this as i would love to hear the series with a human non mechanical voice that actually enjoyed the series. My apologies if this is too harsh.

Couldn't finish it.

Struggled but ultimately gave up. Narrator delivers in a broken halting way. It's distracting to the point that I can't get into the story.

Good, would recommend for a pre-teen

I liked the thought of where the story was going. However, a lot of the sentences were repeated, and the vocabulary of the writer seemed limited for this reason.

Fun Magical Adventure!

I listened to the audio version of the whole boxset. Love that I can get the whole series for 1 credit! Totally awesome! The narrator does a great job and she has to do multiple voices, which she did really good at, so I’d recommend listening if you have the chance. I’d recommend reading Cass’ 5 book series before this one for a better reading experience. I really enjoyed both series and am excited to continue with Nyx’s books!

Fun, exciting kicking demon butt adventures! Loved that the Underworld is involved in this series! Lots of awesome magic use, and I loved the adorable hellhounds!

Del has a really cool phantom half, and she kicks some major butt. Nyx and Cass are involved in this series as well, and they all have some way awesome magical powers.

The romance is sweet and I loved Roarke! This series flowed a bit better than Cass’ series and it felt like it had more depth of character.

There was a bit that was too similar to Cass’ book series, but I still enjoyed each of the 5 books.

Fun, entertaining series!

The weakest series in the dragon’s gift world

There are several Heroines in the Dragon gift world. Del is the most annoying and likely the weakest of the bunch. She is kidnapped numerous times in each book. And her decisions are repeatedly so stupid that she only lives because the author wants her to. Her repeated self doubt is ridiculous and she learns nothing from her mistakes. The only reason I never returned this is it is one a box set and two I need the world building to get to the other characters. However I might have just done better to read the reviews in Goodreads and skipped her story altogether.

Easy and anjoyable

Enjoyable enough to buy other series.. wouldn't by if had to purchase individual books. Good value when buying whole series for 1 Credit. Finishing series 3 now book 14 ;) A little repetitive formula but the world concept is interesting enough to keep reading. Also good to listen to before sleep :) I like the narrator.

Enjoyable popcorn listening

It took me a little bit to get used to hearing the voice as this was the first audio book I listened too.

This is the second series of 5 books, and it would be beneficial to listen\read the first before you listen to this one.

However it is still stand alone. Linsey Hall has done some lovely world building and Laurel bought that to life, I found I could picture the locations and became invested in all the

It hits the formula for this genre, and it works. I look forward to listening to the rest. Give it a shot if you like romance, magic and urban fantasy.
