Publisher's summary

Blaze has loved and lost before. He’s been down that slippery path and never wants to go there again...especially not with a human.

It’s a great pity that he has no choice. The problem is that he’s the fire king, ruler of all four kingdoms. Blaze is expected to have heirs, and the sooner the better. He’ll have to take a human as his mate, one that will bear his young, but he doesn’t have to love her. Blaze plans on handling it like a business transaction. No love, no emotion, no problem.

Dragon King can be listened to as a standalone, but would be best enjoyed as book three of The Bride Hunt series.

Interesting

The storyline was interesting and entertaining. Blaze was a piece of work; it took a good and patient woman to hang in there. I loved Inferno and hope he has a book coming. Also hope Lava has a book. Getting used to Stella and Troy narrating these books; they are among my favorite narrators. On to the next book!

Fiery Dragon Smut

Duty bound and in denial of emotions Blaze is doomed from the beginning. Everyone else can see his fondness growing, but he insists it's only physical. Until, the inevitable.

It's a sizzling ride to happily ever after.

Slightly Disappointing ending

A good story. Liked the relationship development and the characters were likable. There was really good angst leading up to the HEA (I love a good heartbreak) but I felt like the ML didn’t make up for his bad behavior and horrible things he said AT ALL. Which in turn, just makes the FL a doormat when she forgives as easily as blinking. Ugh. Pet peeve. My high hopes were dashed at the end. Would have loved to see him grovel, earn back her trust or even have her leave him and chase her in the real world.
Love the narrators. The male narrator is one of the best and sexiest deep voices out there😍

I love the dragon shifters!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚🖤💙💜❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: ☹️🙃☺️😀
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Roxy - she recently came out of a bad relationship, though she is an optimist who works with her friend in a bakery and still wants to find love. So she signs herself up to date a vampire, but she doesn’t care what species she ends up with, she just wants to find real love.

The Heroes: Blaze - he is the fire King and the ruler of all four dragon kingdoms. He didn’t want to join the bride hunt, because he has been hurt before, but he has to do what he must for the good of the kingdom and that means he needs a mate and heirs. Since female dragon shifters are not fertile, he needs to be involved in the hunt and catch one of the human women.

The Story: Blaze thinks that love complicates things, so he plans to take a human mate in the next bride hunt. Dragon shifters are not known to humans so in the past few hunts, they have abducted women to fill their bride hunt. They no longer want to do that, so they made a deal with the vampires to get some of the women that signed up for the vampire dating program. The women don’t know what is going on when the vampires take them to another place and tell them they have been selected for a new program for shifters.

The story in this book was a bit different than the first two where the women were abducted and kind of thrown into the hunt without knowing what it was all about. This one, the women signed up for it and were told all about the hunt before it happened. They even got to go to a dinner and see the male dragons the night before the hunt takes place.

This book was told in dual points of view via dual narration. The narration was done by Stella Bloom and Troy Duran. These are two of my favorite narrators and they always do a great job. I love Troy’s deep and captivating voice and Stella Bloom always sounds feminine and intelligent and does a great job. I liked both Blaze and Roxy as people. They both had been hurt in their past relationships and take that baggage along with them. The romance good and the intimate scenes were quite steamy.

Blaze, King of Four Realms

Blaze will seek a human mate to create a heir but he will not love her, been there and done that and was hurt. For such a strong leader he ignored his true feeling for Roxy, the human who actually picked him after the bride hunt. Roxy wanted love and children and she was a strong determined woman.
The Chase, the steam, and revisiting Coal and Julie and the north of their child was great fun. A carrot was dangled to make me anxious for the next book. More will be revealed
Fantastic narration. Love this series

heartbreaking

this was heartbreaking and not in a good way. I wish she had more of a back bone. I felt sorry and angry for the FL.
