Publisher's summary

Demetrius Cade has long since let go of his prejudice against Morgonkind, the dragon hybrid race his father taught him to hate. But what he never saw coming was the Morgon woman who would finally teach him to love.

Shakara Icewing has watched Demetrius Cade from afar for years. Known as the most eligible bachelor and emotionally unavailable in all of Gladium Province, she sees him as the aloof, arrogant brother of her dear friend. But when they finally meet, she isn’t sure she can handle how deep and how fast they both fall.

An old enemy resurfaces and once more threatens those Demetrius loves. When Shakara plans to speak before Parliament against business tycoon Aron Grayson, she puts her own life in the line of fire. Demetrius will stop at nothing to protect the woman he can no longer live without.

Great balance between romance and plot

It was kind of hard to keep up with all the name dropping at the beginning but i really enjoyed kwnowing their world. Aiden Snow was great for this role as always. However, the female narrator was not my favourite. She made her sound like a mix between a robot and an old lady.

???

The female narrator was awful so it was tough to listen to and really get into the story. The male narrator was excellent and I wish he had narrated the entire thing.

Loved the story

Loved the story and the continuation of the other Nightwing books. Didn’t like listening to the female voice, she sounded too old and talked too slow for the main character. If this hadn’t been a series book I would t have listened to it! Had to speed it up to get through it. Great story tho!

Good story, truly awful *female narrator

It's always a real shame when someone does such an absolute shit job narrating it's too distracting to even listen to the whole story, much less enjoy it. Makes me wonder how A) certain narrators get hired in the first place. And B) is there not some kind of screening/approval process audiobooks have to go through prior to being released? Just saying.

*The male narrator was good. 🙂

This was okay

I wasn't as impressed with this one as the previous (Nightwing) series. I grabbed this because I read Waking the Dragon and saw this was basically a prequel. It tells the story of a Icewing and a Cade. They each have ideals of the other that cause a few problems. This has a few of characters from previous series and books.

I listened to this on audio. Meghan Kelly and Aiden Snow do the narration. They both do a nice job. Wish there was a bit more for Aiden :)
