Publisher's summary

In the not too distant future, on a decaying space-station from a high Venus orbit, a cantankerous and disgraced scientist awaits the delivery of a mysterious shipment. He hopes to use it to invent a new propulsion system and, in doing so, salvage his reputation. However, the station’s decommissioning crew, led by Chief O’Connor, are skeptical about his plans. They believe them to be nothing but drunken delusions, a theory which seems more than plausible given the bold and outlandish claims he has been making of late.

A routine docking going seriously awry, and a number of other strange goings-on around the station have thrown the crew into chaos. Accusations of theft and sabotage are thrown around, and for a while it seems as though everyone is doomed. However the source of the mystery is far beyond any of the crew’s comprehension, and the key to their salvation lies in the hands of a very unlikely hero.

A Twisted Time Paradox Sci-Fi

After a very slow, and somewhat confusing, setup with a savage/chop crew crew of four (4) decommissioning a space station orbiting Venus, the time travel high jinks begins, with each loop adding more understanding and clarity to the whole story. It was quite a head trip keeping track of everything, all with the understanding that Doule’s Law (what has happened will happen) making a great puzzle to figure out (and definitely some unexpected surprises). There are still some interesting concepts that appear to create a paradox … just not the traditional ones that are so common with time travel stories … and we get a brief glimpse into the far future and it is not all kittens and puppies. Overall it was a grand story with an equally good narration that fit.

I was given this free advance review/listener copy (ARC) audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Wow! Just wow!

Great science fiction novel. The main idea of using time travel to fix the past and present work wonderfully here. While most people explain that you can’t time travel because of paradox, these twist and turns show this to be true but it is vital to this story and it blew my mind. I hope that this is made into a movie!
Great narration and can’t wait for more from this author.

knew the future but was still surprised

this is probably the most complicated and predictable book ive ever listened to. and that's a good thing. dont be discouraged because you think you know what's going to happen. despite knowing how it will end/begin, i continued to listen and kept being surprised. we take it for granted, but authors are the real time travelers, able to move forward and back throughout the story to make the plot come together. this book is a great example of what an author can do with enough time and planning. great plotting and great writing. highly recommend.

not bad a little convoluted.

A decent book. the biggest problem with the book is it got monotonous. the closing of the book was extremely open ended and really did not wrap things up. the narrator is rough around the edges.

SIDE NOTE: I recieved a free copy of the book.
