Publisher's Summary

All three of the Men of the Sisterhood novellas together for the first time!

For the first time the menfolk are stepping out of the pages of #1 New York Times bestselling author Fern Michaels' beloved Sisterhood series and into the spotlight....

After years of standing by their women, the Sisterhood's significant others have also become loyal friends. And now Jack Emery, Nikki's husband, has enlisted Ted, Joe, Jay, Bert, Dennis, and Abner to form a top-secret organization known as BOLO Consultants.

Jack has two missions in mind. The first: offering some behind-the-scenes help to Nikki's law firm as they take on the all-powerful Andover Pharmaceuticals. Andover's anti-leukemia drug causes terrible side effects in young patients, but a class-action suit seems doomed to fail. BOLO Consultants has a prescription to cure that. Meanwhile, Virginia's lieutenant governor has a sideline as a slum landlord, and his impoverished tenants are suffering. Tyler Sandford believes his status puts him above the law. But when the Sisterhood and their allies decide to get involved, no one is beyond the reach of true justice....

It's Okay, but in the wrong order

Any additional comments?

In this combined book of 3 novellas, the second and third stories are in the wrong chronological order. The third story obviously occurred before the second one. The second one takes place after Christmas and the third one takes place before Christmas. If you like to read (or listen) to these stories in order, know that this one is messed up!

Let down

What would have made Double Down better?

To make it better, make it original! Very upset that it is just previous books I already have combined into one. Waste of money for me.

Has Double Down turned you off from other books in this genre?

I'll have to really question the next one and try to make sure more money is not wasted,

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Combined previous ones together. Very cheap move.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Much disappointment......those who put this together should feel shame.

Any additional comments?

No comment worth adding.

Audiobook Structure Misorganized

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I don't understand why on earth the audiobook could not be organized in the proper order. It is organized by Novella #1, Novella #3 and thed Novella #3. I prefer to listen to a book from beginning to end. Big fail on audible.com's part to accept an inferior product.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Double Down?

If I were the editor I would have insisted that the audiobook be organized from begining to end and not beginning, end and then the middle of the story.

Any additional comments?

Audible.com should require that the publisher correct the recording and then issue a corrected copy to those who have bought the failed product.

Disappointed

Why is this the same book as the last men of sisterhood. What a waste of my money. I am so disappointed.

Great book! So glad they combined the 3!

Unlike the other reviewers, I'm able to read, hence I knew exactly what I was buying when I purchased this book of the 3 stories of the Men of the Sisterhood! I refused to purchase them at full novel price and am happy they combined them into one book! Just like the rest of the sisterhood novels, this one is not to be missed and a joy to listen to!

great story

I am a Fern Michaels fan and this story did not disappoint. I really enjoy her series books. I like getting to know the characters and feeling like I know them. I also love books that almost make you feel like your right there in the middle of the action. I am excited to continue this series

Love love

I loved the story the only thing that was wrong was the last 2 parts of the story. They were flipped so you got the end than the middle that I did not like.

I had to laugh, not because it was funny!

It was really hard listening to a woman doing the mens voices! As I listened to the stories it was obvious there was no male input to the characters & what they did! I dont know many men that would act like these men! The stories were entertaining though. My husband won't listen to it though!

great story

I love the Fern Michaels Sisterhood series books. I saw that there was the book called Double Down which is the men of The Sisterhood series. this book has three short stories. I enjoyed this one just as much as I did her other books.
