On the Seventh Webway planet of Exteron, an unprecedented disaster wipes out two-thirds of the terraforming colonists. Two teams are sent to the pre-terrestrial world on behalf of the Galactic Human Alliance, mankind’s centralized governing structure, and FLORA, the terraforming super-conglomerate whose technology allowed mankind to inhabit new worlds. The prospect of future Human dominion over Exteron, a world hellbent on rejecting mankind, rests on this investigatory slew of mercenaries, statesmen, and corporate catspaws.

I really enjoyed this book! Without giving spoiler, it was intense and the ending left me screaming into the void!

The narrator was also phenomenal. 10/10 would recommended.

A buddy of mine, turned me on to this book. It was a great listen. Excellent world building and characters. Voice actor is amazing. Somehow soothing and unsettling at the same time.

This is not the story I thought I was getting. An early surprise had me engaged early, and it never let go after that. The story was unique, and I was never certain where it was heading. Sometimes when authors try to create entire universes it can affect the flow of the story. This can be one of the hardest parts of reading/writing science fiction. However, in this case it doesn’t hinder the story at all. It all just flowed easy, and let the plot play out. Also, the ending did not disappoint. Looking forward to see what Burkhart has coming out next!

Loved this one! Doril Song blends sci-fi, mystery, and some eerie world-building in a really cool way. The story hooked me early and kept me guessing. Farah D’s narration is spot-on—clear, engaging, and really brought the characters to life. If you're into smart sci-fi with a dark twist, definitely check this out!

DNF at around the halfway mark because I lost my air pods and haven’t been able to get another pair, but wanted to rate this now so I don’t forget. I absolutely LOVED the world Burkhardt created. The writing is descriptive and creepy, and the narrator does a great job at encompassing that. I can’t wait to finish listening when I get new headphones!
