The weirdest thing about my life isn't the fact my cat started talking to me.

I had it all. Awesome, blossoming business. A cute boyfriend who gave me butterflies. My kids living at home and reconnecting with me. Plus, I was a witch. There, I said it out loud. I'm a sorceress who can do magic.

Not bad for a woman my age. I should have known better to get so cocky. The other shoe dropped, bounced, and hit me in the face, then bounced again and whacked me in the shin. It proceeded to ricochet once more and -

What should have been the most amazing night turns into a disaster. I'm crushed, in more ways than one. When I recover, it's to find my reality has shifted. My cat can speak. Some of the townsfolk appear to be possessed by demons, and I'm supposed to be sacrificed to free magic.

Seriously? I just wanted my damned happily-ever-after.

And I will fight to get it.

Contains mature themes.

Naomi is an awesome main character! Her struggles are real and relatable so it fits in well with the fantasy! Narration is wonderful. I didn't want it to end!

Enchanting!

I really enjoyed the first two books but this one was strange. Nicole Poole did a great job as narrator but she couldn't save this book.

Bizarre

First the book should’ve been listed as bad soft porn. Second it was just bad, I feel the author has unresolved issues with her sexuality. What could’ve been a good storyline turned out to be A story of a woman who pees herself and then discovers masturbation she degrades her body constantly and overall talks foul and degrading throughout the book. I am not a prude however I could not figure out why the author felt she needed to say some of the things she was saying. It seemed that she talked this way just for the sake of using the foulest sentences she could come up with. Very disappointed in this author and sorry that I wasted a credit

I gave the performance five stars because this was not the readers fault.

Gave up couldn’t finish the book

I was just disappointed in this series. I did stick it out until the very end just because I love Eve Langlais’s books and was hoping things would turn around as I read more. Unfortunately, the series drags with the main characters degradation of herself, poor body image, etc. ( that just went on way too much) and no real unveiling of the plot until the very end. Just a lot of I can’t tell you innuendos from all the town people. The narrater, Nicole Poole did a nice job but the story seriously is not worth the credits to listen to this series.

Discouraging series
