Publisher's summary

It’s Christmas Eve, and Violet Parker has one request on her list for Santa - to make it home to her kids. Unfortunately, “home” is also the lair of her life-long nemesis, her sister Susan, aka the devil’s concubine.

Standing in Violet’s way is Old Man Winter, who slammed the Black Hills with a show-stopping blizzard. However, a little snow isn’t going to ground her sleigh, not with family counting on her to deliver Santa’s goods.

Trying to keep Christmas from turning into a candy cane calamity, Violet battles her demons and struggles through the chaos storming around her. Can she make it through the holiday without cracking anyone’s nut?

“Keep your fingers crossed this whole holiday doesn’t blow up in our faces.” (Violet Parker)

Not Great

This is by far the worst book in the Deadwood series. Super boring and overly sappy with Violet and Doc. It had no funny parts, many of the usual cast was missing or had very small parts. I kept waiting for the usual storyline of slaying evil beings and it never happened. There was nothing about this book that pushes the series forward. Ann Charles should have kept this to a short story between books.

This series should be called “oversexed in Deadwood”

Not a bad concept and I’ve gone through several of the books but I’ve reached the point where I have to fast forward every time a Violet/Doc sexcapade comes up. The author has some serious issues with this or just needs filler and this is the simplest (i.e. laziest) way to do it. The book would be about 2/3 as long if you took out their hypersexed interludes. They can’t even have a normal conversation without Violets libido ridden fantasies playing out.

This book was uncessary.

This was a waste of time. Nothing really to do what all the other books were about and it was dull. Maybe good for a young adult read. The constant sex between Doc and Violet is becoming maddening.

Officially, my new favorite Christmas read.

I’m catching up on all things Ann Charles. I love her books and found her at the beginning of writing career. Lucky me! Don’t let it Snow in Deadwood was fun and family. It’s not to be missed. Caroline Shaffer was a fantastic narrator as always.

So refreshing to enjoy the gang for Christmas!

It was a good time enjoying the gang during their Christmas celebration. Yes there is no murder mystery in this book and it's about half the length of the other books. it's a good story and they're still mystery and minor suspense . It's a very enjoyable story. You can get it on Kindle with an audible upgrade at a discounted price I think it's well worth it.

Meh.

Definitely not credit worthy. This is mostly filler and doesn’t contain any supernatural elements or progress the overall story from all the other books. Maybe I missed it and it’s a “.5” in the series. I thought it was a full edition of the series.

Shame on you Ann Charles

Any book in which a mother excusing one daughter for sleeping with her sister's boyfriend because as preventing a future divorce, is not a book I can finish. I love this series, but I can't listen to that kind of emotional abuse. It's no wonder Violet's character is extremely insecure. Shame on you Ann Charles!

Pointless

Didn’t progress the story arc only served to promote two new spin off series ,love the supporting cast of these books and it’s read very well. But this book had no point

Happy Holidays 🎄 🎄 🎄

Another winner from Ann Charles and as usual Caroline Shaffers narration is tiptop. Don’t let it snow is absolutely and perfectly funny. New Christmas Carols from Harvey……, check the balls on this old collie had me in fits of Laughter. I love this series and all the characters now expanding from friends and colleagues into a wonderful family. I’m fortunate to own the e book’s and audiobooks and highly recommend all. Yes, there are some sad, dark moments. However, they are blasted away by good time vibes, filled with love and laughter. PS Ann’s spin off series are fantastic too. Join Natalie’s cousins in their own top series or even step back into the past and meet up with Deadwood’s female undertaker and several characters appearing in Violets stories.
