Sparks are flying between these best friends. Could a practice kiss change everything?

Seventeen-year-old Eliana Costa has never kissed a guy. Her best guy friend, Jess, is more than willing to help her out. He has plenty of experience, since he finds a new girlfriend every other week. But when a practice kiss brings on feelings Eliana hadn't bargained for, her already messy life is thrown into a new level of chaos.

Life is already more than she can handle after her dad's disappearance. Eliana worries that if she admits her feelings to Jess, she just might lose her best friend. And right now, a best friend is all she needs. But when another girl tries to date Jess, Eliana is forced to decide if taking a chance on love is worth the risk.

Not for me but cute

It’s a decent story, the pace of it definitely didn’t hold me. I found myself kind of listening as background noise for some of it. I wanted more of the Romance component between the two main characters. I feel like I read a book about a fight more than I read a love story.

Friends to lovers

I enjoyed watching Jess and Eliana’s relationship blossom in the first book and come to a sweet ending with a marriage proposal.

Meh.

It was okay but didn’t hold my interest and moved really slow at some parts. Not like others where I can’t stop listening or rush to get back to listening. Instead, I read four other books while working thru this audio book which tells me I finished only to be finished.

Seemed like they were a part more than they were together

While I felt like the story kept on moving, and it held my attention it seems like they were fighting or apart more than they were together. And it was more about the struggle to get together than it was for him not to forget her. But I still enjoyed the book. It was fast paced enough and held your attention enough but just not a five star book.

Terrible Narration

The story is ok. I liked the first book but this one was hard to get through. Same narrator but yeesh…..in this book her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. The author wrote a main female character who feels sorry for herself every chance she gets. Yes, she has some hard knocks, but I could barely stand to listen to her whine. It got worse and by the climax, she couldn’t drag herself out of her own sinuses. It was made even worse because the reader gives her an over-pronounced whiney voice that drags its knuckles through the land of woe. The male love interest provided no relief. To be fair, he might have, but the reader went full-tilt on the nasally voice she gave him. He is supposed to be a stud muffin, but he sounds more like a pale, bluish, clammy, skinny guy with a concave chest who stands in the corner at parties and whimpers like a dog that needs to wee. C’mon! You can do better than that!! My last nerve was tight like a bow string by the time I got to the conclusion. The saving grace is these two were made for each other. Ship that and send it to the Bermuda Triangle and flush it down to the literary bowels where it belongs. Kelsey dodged a giant bullet.

Nothing

I didn’t like the was she portrayed the male leads voice. She made him sound like a geeky nerd.

Not My Cup of Tea

This was really boring and the pacing was really annoying for me .. I liked Jess and Elianna from the first book but this turned out to be a soap opera I had no interest in, the only part I liked was the ' pick up lines game ' I wish if there was more moments like that, the ending was nice I guess but I was really bored through out the book

The narration was ok but she made Jess sound like a ten years old who is not breathing through his nose .. so yeah
