His curiosity, and the crime-solving instincts of his golden retriever, Rochester, kick in when liquid potassium ampoules are stolen from the vet and Steve's new friend is a suspect. Double Dog Trouble
I enjoyed meeting more characters, even though the cruisers were minor, it added more depth to Steve and helped develop him into a well rounded, likable main character.
We are still watching him struggle with his past failures and mistakes, his reconciliations to offer assistance to others who need a second chance, and his determination to right the wrongs.
Brody was a fun playmate for Rochester, too, and also provided some chuckles.
I liked how this murder/mystery was more like a mystery with a murder on top. I'm enjoying the diverse writing, storytelling, and variety of plots and I explore this series!
Highly recommend this light reading with a plot kick and a dash of computer geek speak.
