If you could sum up Doctor Who in three words, what would they be?
This is the daleks at their most chilling. Possibly never beaten, certainly right up there in the best with the likes of Genesis, Evil, the original, the Invasion of the Earth & Remembrance. The story conforms to the great elements of greek tragedy, and the plot cleverly uses devices such as usurpation and multiple conspiracies, impersonation and mistaken identity, secrets and lies. What did you like best about this story?
It is very hard to go past Power in terms of depth of agency given to the daleks and the degree of character growth afforded them. They are also up front and centre throughout the story. It is a Dalek fest.Have you listened to any of Patrick Troughton and full cast ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I love the Troughton era and this is one of a number of unsurpassable gems.Electrifying Dalek thriller
