Acerca de esta escucha
The Daleks' Masterplan is well underway. With the Time Destroyer, the most deadly machine ever devised, they will conquer the Universe. Only one person stands in their way - the Doctor. For he has stolen the precious Taranium core which is vital to activate the machine. Travelling through Time and Space, the Doctor and his companions are forever on the move in case the Daleks track them down. But after several months, to their horror, the TARDIS indicates that they are being followed... Peter Purves and Jean Marsh read this exciting novelisation of a classic Doctor Who adventure, with Dalek voices by Nicholas Briggs. This is the second of two novelisations written by John Peel and based on the TV serial The Daleks' Masterplan. The first, Daleks: Mission to the Unknown, is also available from AudioGO.

Historia
An unabridged reading of this classic novelisation of a 1968 TV adventure featuring the Second Doctor, as played on screen by Patrick Troughton. For 40 years the Yeti had been quiet, a collector's item in a museum. Then, without warning, it awoke and savagely murdered. At about the same time, patches of mist began to appear in Central London. People who lingered in the mist were found dead, their faces smothered in cobwebs. The cobweb seeped down, penetrating the Underground System.

Historia
The Doctor is feeling confident: this time the TARDIS has landed on Earth; in England; in 1963. But when he and his companions Susan, Ian and Barbara venture outside, they are soon lost in a maze of ravines and menaced by gigantic insects. However, the insects are dying - every living thing is dying.... Meanwhile, in a cottage garden on a perfect summer's day, the man from the Ministry arrives to put a stop to the production of DN6, a pesticide with the power to destroy all life-forms.

Re: Longest TV Story
This is the later chapters of the longest story of the series to date from November to January 1966 and featuring the original Doctor as told by his companions in this particular series. The narrators are excellent and this fills the gap of the missing episodes in the tale to a tee.

End of the Epic.
The epic is over. The Doctor beats the Daleks again, but not without a great loss. Two companions died helping the Doctor in his battle. This epic was both exciting and sad. It did have some fun. John Peel added Doctor Who's first Christmas special to the novelization. Didn't add much to the epic, but a brief rest from the excitement. For the first time the Doctor visits America, lands in a movie set, causes chaos and helps Charlie Chaplin. It was funny, but not necessarily to the plot. Peter Pauves and Jean marsh were great as narrators and Nicolas Briggs was great as the voice of the Daleks. Great stuff.
