Publisher's Summary

When Liv and Nora decide to take their husbands and children on a holiday cruise, everyone is thrilled.

The ship's comforts and possibilities seem infinite. But when they all go ashore in beautiful Central America, a series of minor mishaps lead the families further from the ship's safety. One minute the children are there, and the next they're gone.

What follows is a heart-racing story told from the perspectives of the adults and the children, as the distraught parents - now turning on one another and blaming themselves - try to recover their children and their shattered lives.

A great listen

A really enjoyable listen. Narration took a bit of getting used to, but it didn't put me off. The story is gripping, but I was a bit disappointed with the ending.
I would recommend this book

Unlistenable

Why oh why did they let the author narrate her own audiobook. The story itself is good, and I recommend reading the book BUT this audiobook was painful to listen to. The author has a very pronounced speech impediment and is utterly incapable of doing accents. Any accent. Her lack of intenation while reading made the most harrowing parts of the story seem unreal because she just slipped into them in her monotone lisp and you weren’t sure they were actually happening. No idea who signed off on this one! Definitely read the book instead
