exceptional narrator

The narrator gave this memoir life. She imbued the characters with personalities as the author got through this heartbreaking period of her life.

I read it 2x and now listened the first time!

The print version of this book was so good that I reads it twice. Now being able to hear it is even better. I love non fiction and this true story is so lifelike and poignant it makes me love the characters, especially the writer who is at the center of everything and survives the pain of loss. The voice of the narrator is excellent and adds to the drama. If you read it or listen or both, you will not be disappointed.

The story of a family

I can relate to this book as I have experienced some similar events. The author handled situations with consistent perseverance and some humor. The readers voice was pleasant to listen to.

Gritty, heartwarming, heartbreaking

Between the compelling story of these three women and the engaging narration, I found it very difficult to stop listening to this memoir. It completely drew me in.

A Captivating ,Compelling True story!

I have never listened to an audible book before and I throughly enjoyed the experience. The narrator did a great job using different voices for each character.
i am still thinking about what a remarkable lady Suzanne is.I have no idea how she coped with caring for her ill daughter and her elderly mother while holding down a full time job and.I am in awe of her dedication and love and total unselfish sense of duty and lets not forget her love of rescuing homeless dogs and even a pot bellied pig. Please listen to this book, it is a fine example if a families love, loyalty and how they supported each other through good times and dark day. I find it inspirational on many levels and i believe Suzanne is truly an unsung hero!
