Publisher's Summary

A life-changing audiobook for anyone trapped in an unhealthy marriage or relationship

Divorce isn’t such a tragedy. A tragedy is staying in an unhappy marriage, teaching your children the wrong things about love. Nobody ever died of divorce.

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • Do you try to calmly talk with them about basic things, only for it to end up in an argument?
  • Were they once incredibly charming and said all the right things, but now they are mean, apathetic, or passive aggressive?
  • Have you tried to change yourself or your feelings, because you know they refuse to change, merely because they don’t think they have to?
  • Do you feel incredibly alone, like no one will understand, because to everyone else they are perfect?
  • Have you been cheated on yet somehow they make it your fault?
  • Or perhaps you have already broken up, yet you are constantly sucked back in by their begging, promises to change, or even threats?
  • Have you promised yourself that you will end the relationship, only to find yourself going back to them because you feel guilty, sorry for them, or afraid of being alone or good?

You are in a relationship with a narcissist, and if you haven’t figured it out already, they will never, ever change. It is difficult to get divorced or break up with a narcissist without someone who has been through the same experiences you have. Otherwise, you may make costly financial mistakes by hiring the wrong attorney or giving away your assets, all because you don’t know any better.

You can stay in the relationship and be unhappy, or you can choose to break free. But how do you actually break free? It is not easy, I know. Because I have been there. I was you.

What you need now:

  • Someone who has been through the same experiences you have and understands them from the inside.
  • Someone who has the knowledge, training, education, and experience working on himself and others to lead you through the emotional s--tstorm that breaking with a narcissist can create.

I can’t promise you that listening to this audiobook is going to be a "total cure", but I can promise that if you apply yourself dilligently, take notes, listen to the chapters, and follow all instructions to the letter with a tenacious resolve to get better, you will feel an instant decrease in anxiety within the first 24 hours and should see huge improvements within the first three days.

This is not hype, this is what my audience commonly report.

Rambling Pointlessness

I'm a mental health therapist who's been in a relationship with a narcissist, but I couldn't even finish this book. The writer projects onto the reader the image of being the perfect, selfless empath, trapped in the web of a narcissist, a blameless and angelic victim of fate. She talks about karma, energies, and ancestral trauma that lives in our cells. She rambles around the points she's trying to make, as if she was just trying to find enough words to fill a book. and the reading is atrocious; several times the reader starts to say something, pauses, and then continues reading from the beginning of the sentence again, repeating what she just said so she made an error and didn't want to re-record over it. This book is a joke.

Good book

This book taught me so much while going through my divorce. I can honestly say the author and One's Mom Battle on Facebook, kept me grounded and helped me learn how to set the boundaries needed.

This book will help you find your strength.

I would highly recommend this book if you are going through a battle with someone who lives to try to make your life miserable. You need to know that you're not alone and you're not crazy. Many who are dealing with this kind of personality have received years of emotional abuse and feel weak. This story and the strength of God will help you find your strength.

I felt like I was listening about my life.

I felt like I was listening about my life. While going through my divorce, I had no idea what my soon to be ex's issue was. I just thought he was an addict. About 1 month or 2 before our divorce, my mother finally figured out what his issue was, a personality disorder. I only wish I knew about this book prior to my divorce, but it still helps now. Knowing that I will be back in the courts in the future, getting advice as to what to do for next time, and best of all, knowing that there are other people in the world that are dealing with the same issue. It makes you feel a little saner while living what seems like, an insane life.

I loved this book!

I loved this book! I think this author was married to my ex's evil twin! I am going through virtually everything she has been through and she has a lot of practical information for handling this situation as well as possible given this personality type. I have found her website helpful as well. Good if nothing more than making you see you aren't the only one walking this horrible road. I give this a two thumbs up verdict!

This book is a great listen

author explains a narcissist and how they act within the courts. Everyone has a different story but this book helps with giving you some knowledge about what to expect when divorcing a narcissist. It talks briefly about the "No Contact" rule and PTSD, as well as being robotic and emotionless when dealing with your Narc face to face. This book is a great listen and the author is an inspiration. I suggest to anyone purchasing this book to like the page and become involved in hopes that these courts will stop failing our children and learn about Cluster B personality disorders!

Recommend to who is in a high conflict divorce

authorize very authentic and forthcoming with her experience which will resonate with everyone who deals with a similar situation. She offers practical advice based on her own experience as well as other people who have shared their stories on her blog. For those who have experience with a narcissistic personality disorder or multiple narcissistic traits, this will be surreal at first, them comforting. I'd recommend this to anyone who is in a high conflict divorce.

This book has allowed me to finally let go

This book has allowed me to finally let go of stuff I was holding onto. Making myself feel responsible for things that were not my burden to carry! It feels good to be able to see that others have struggled with people just like my ex-husband. My only wish is, I had this book before divorcing him.

Both author books are so helpful when going through a divorce. Advice from the Battlefield includes a lot of tips from those who are going through the process. Learn from those of us who have been there and are going through it. Well organized and well explained.

Well organized, well explained, and perfect information and advice for someone going through a high conflict divorce. I wish that the author would have had this help when she was fighting her battle. Thank God she is sharing her strength with others so they do not have to battle alone. Blessings to those who are warriors and to those precious children who are currently hostages of our family court system.

Recommended

I have listened to both author books cover to cover in three days. I find myself thinking "just like me!" Or "mine does that too!". Tragic how much these people hurt their spouses...but completely devastating how much they hurt their children. Thank you, author. Thank you for taking the risk to help others by showing everyone they are not alone...this is not normal...do not give up...this is wrong and needs to be fixed!

Love this book

This book was explained by a mom who had to divorce and share custody with her narcissistic ex-husband. While the author is not the best of the author--the book could use editing--in this case, that's a "so what?" because the tips of the book are valuable. She bounces back and forth between her harrowing court and Child Protective Services (such as they are), and the experiences of other veterans from the same battles.

the book it was insightful

I was in decent condition but as I began to listen pages were falling out. As far as the book it was insightful but disliked it was only geared toward women- only using pronouns from a women's point of view. I know the author is female but there are women narcissists out there as well
