Good information but very difficult lecture method

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Caroline as always was spot on. She offered a lot of information about the Saints who have influenced her and ways to access what they've experienced. She explained herself well. She was thorough and very easy to follow.

Andrew Harvey, on the other hand, had me very close to screaming "WILL YOU JUST SHUT UP," more than a few times. It is unfortunate because he had some very valuable experiences and insights, but because he does not respect his listener enough to say it in as few words as possible, he is almost impossible to follow. The words "And" and "Because" should be banned from his vocabulary...permanently. They do not serve his message. I get that he is passionate, but to have more of an impact, or in my case, an impact at all, he needs to pare down his message, distill it, as Caroline does, most of the time.

Swept me away

1. I've never heard of Andrew Hardy prior to this book.
2. I've read a lot of Caroline Myss books (only after being diagnosed with breast cancer a year ago - didn't care for her prior to that)
3. Have no recollections why I chose this book.
4. Early on, decided it wasn't for me....but something "got" me to keep listening.
5. I wasn't familiar with this deep understanding, the references , etc.
6. I understood anyway.
7. Cried, laughed, and completely absorbed in a way that I can only describe as obsessed for that time.
8. The authors are PASSIONATE ! I could feel or sense the levels of what was being so GENEROUSLY explained.
9. Was hoping from Ms Myss a more exact explanation of St Ignatious' daily exercises.
10. This is an inspiring read ~ if you're spiritual.
11. Yes, I'll re-read it. It's like tea sometimes I want/need just that.
12. I know my journey requires alone time. But there are moments a feeling passes through of being lonely. This took that away.
13. I've been strengthened.

Dangerous. Do not buy this. Traumatizing.

What disappointed you about Divine Rebels?

If you already are experiencing trauma and low self-worth and are searching for a path to recovery, this is a dangerous audio compilation in which to invest. I have always appreciated the things that Caroline Myss has brought forward, but listening to this, with Truth and good information, couched in the personal opinions of the speakers is very confusing and very dangerous. I have heard many teachers speak. They can touch on Truth and Wisdom, but then when their own inner reflections, self hatred, and religious indoctrination are projected onto an unsuspecting listener who has already accepted part of what they are saying as correct, so how could the rest not be absorbed, too?

Listen with discernment, if you must. In the 5th hour, Andrew Harvey says "You are rotten." There is so much more guilt in this audio set. Terrible guilt inflicted. This is not a path for healing, and if you like most people who are searching for answers are already struggling to find love for your self, this will not give it to you. It will reinforce your doubt, guilt, and self hatred.

Rich Content with Endless Insights

This is another solid audiobook - from Caroline and Andrew - that will leave you with much to contemplate.

I am not exactly sure why - it is my own shortcomings and purifications in process - but I really struggle with Andrew's narration. His portion of content is deep and highly informative but it takes a lot for me to push through his presentations and focus on the content.

If you struggle with his speech and patterns I highly encourage you to challenge yourself and focus on the content. You will be much better off for doing so!

Thank you to Caroline and Andrew for taking the time and energy to share all these experiences and insights. I will be revisiting this material - a number of times - in the weeks and months to come.

This audiobook is worth MUCH more than what you pay for!

A Must Listen for Every growing Spiritual Being<br />

A wonderful work of spiritual art! I shall listen and listen and have to listen again. I found many answers and a re - awakening in my soul. Truly a way to live and finally some processes to follow. Thank you, I am in awe od Andrew Harvey as I have always been about what and how Caroline Myss teaches. I really wish to have known all this knowledge 20 years earlier.

Content amazing, Caroline hard to listen to

I just love Coraline Myss, she is phenomenal author. The content of this book is fascinating.

For these times

This was a good listen, and I appreciated the messages about taking the necessity to expect the path of a divine rebel to be challenging.
The bit about Andrew having to leave his guru because she told him to basically stop being gay was sad, but it was also admirable in that he had the courage to be true to to himself.
I think the assumptions that Rumi and Shamz were gay lovers is pretty biased. It is quite possible that two men have deep love for each other and that it is not sexual whatsoever. This is divine love shared between a teacher and his disciple. I was disappointed that Andrew needed to project his own sexuality into their relationship.

Who is Andrew Harvey?

I was really disappointed to hear Andrew Harvey say that Karl Marx was one of his top nine people he admires. Karl Marx was a real POS and his disinformation unleashed Communism onto the world and has done a disastrous results where hundreds of millions of peoples have either died or been left in poverty, and yet Andrew Harvey thinks he’s a great guy? Sad sad sad I don’t know why Carolyn Myss would to partner up with him she usually has enough quality material to cover two books.
