Best Book Ever

I love the story line and how it focuses more on Tris and her development rather than the war brewing. It truly was perfectly written and performed.

Emma, you did great! But... Your voice kinda got old after you doing all the voices but very good book and it was a very good performance

Entertaining and Interesting

Would you consider the audio edition of Divergent to be better than the print version?

I wouldn't consider the audio edition better or worse, it's all a matter of preference and situation whether one reads or listens. I find I get through a book faster if I listen to it because I can multi-task. Depending on the narrator sometimes it's more enjoyable to read.

What other book might you compare Divergent to and why?

Hunger Games - young adult heroes and storyline set in the future.

Beatrice/Triss was the main character and you grow to care about her and her survival skills.

Its a great story and concept. However I really disliked the writing itself. In defense of the author I had just read an amazing book by Diane Setterfield who is eloquent and clever then dove into Divergent in its wake for book club. It felt very much like young adult fiction in every way. I'm sure I will finish the series someday, but I am in no rush.

Fun!

This audiobook definitely kept me entertained on my drives to and from work. Really great narration and the story moved at a nice pace. I highly recommend this novel.
