The two short stories within tell tales of Moncrieff the steampunk vampire who must defend his castle from the British, and of Eckta, a disgraced alien who is desperate to prove to himself that he is unlike his father.

If you could sum up Dissimilar Shorts in three words, what would they be?

Intriguing. Want. More.

What other book might you compare Dissimilar Shorts to and why?

It reminded me of Superman, does that count?

What does Jonathan Estabrooks bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I really like his emphasis on different parts, and actually thought I should hire him for my own book!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, but I really liked the second one a lot, cause it reminded me of Superman.

Any additional comments?

Both of these shorts literally suck you into the story. One is a vampire story, the other is a sci-fi type. I really liked both of them, and would have liked a longer book to listen to. The author did have a handful of repeated phrasing in a row, but that's not really bad or anything. I really liked it!

Loved these two shorts!
