I understand that this is a book for kids, but they completely lost the integrity of Belle’s character. Yes, she may have consulted with other people within the castle, but I find it hard to believe that after living her whole life around horses and animals that she wouldn’t understand that he needed company. The narrator was OK and used a generic princess voice.
