Katie has successfully reached the third floor of the dungeon in which she accidentally stranded herself, but with enemies both ahead and behind her, she’s having to fight hard for every step she takes.

Still, at least she finally found an ally, even if that ally was her.

With her new class sapping her humanity with each advancement, it’s not even clear which of the pair of Katies is the biggest monster. However, with the undead king of the blight turning the catacombs against her, the vulpes arch-mage Mru’walyn hunting her from above, and a new threat encroaching on the catacombs from below, sacrificing more of her humanity may be the only way to win.

Join Katie on her continuing mission to find a snugger napping spot than a spider’s silk cocoon and to find the holy sword. She hasn’t forgotten about that bit (honest).

As with most Royal Road ports, this book series was not written with the though of distinct books in mind, so the story really just continues as it did before. More of what you liked from the first book, although I will admit the bdsm elements ramp up a bit.

See my review for the first book for more details, but I do recommend this sequel.

More Of The Same

I love the humor, I love the mechanics, I love that I have a friend who matches fairly well with the protagonist, I love the bits of kinkiness... it's all so good!! I'm so eager for more!
also Jessica Almasy is an incredible narrator, I really love both her voice and her speaking cadence and she does a fantastic performance!!

Easily one of my favorites series

I liked the first book alright. I think the characters initial reactions to her experiences were far too accepting compared to how she describes herself. it made her changes in personality and acceptance of her weird situations less believable. the change wasn't really there.
the Story was kind of aimless given how straightforward her quest was. made it hard to get engaged.
the skill acquisition wasn't very interesting and wasn't very clear in how she was getting better. she pretty much just kept getting beat, built up some resistance, got beat up again and so on. didn't seem like she was getting stronger somehow.
the bondage thing wasn't really for me. not the fact that she was kinky. thats cool. me too. it just felt like cheap sex appeal to get readers. she just kept getting tied up or mind controlled and raped one way or another.
consensual roleplay=awesome.
assault/mindbreak porn=gross.

i would actually live this series if not for those things.
maybe give her a friend thats not her horny undead self.

good voice, ehhh ok story
