The Copán Valley

The Mayans lived there for more that 2,000 years. Discovered in the sixteenth century by Spaniards, within a very short time span, they were gone. Moved? Disease? There are people who want to know. But now, the Copán River is erasing it!
What pays for these field trips to such dangerous places is treasure. Lots of it. The noble mind will yearn for the answers, but gold calls to every heart.
Anna Marie Requelle and James Kilroy find they are soon caught up in the temple searches, but they are well-trained archaeologists, too. No gold, no funding. It must balance.
However, the place is plagued with bandits and Indio who will not accept outsiders and that makes field trips dangerous and difficult, indeed!
