Erin narrated 85% of the book :/

Minus 2 stars for narration. Love the story but was disappointed to hear Erin narrate almost the entire book. I like duel narratives but felt cheated. Had I known this, I would have chose to read instead of listen.

FEELS UNFINISHED

when I saw how long this read was I was excited based on the previous books. 12 hours later and I'm underwhelmed. There's bits and pieces of the story I felt were rushed and lacked details. Overall not my favorite out of the serious but still a fun read.

Not an obsession for me

While Joe did very little narration of this book, what he did was good. Erin Mallon did the majority of the narration and I really love her voice(s) in characters.
This wasn't one of my favorite Lisa Renee Jones books - it was ok, just didn't grab me like the whisper series. I'm not sure what, but it felt like it was missing....something???
Two families divided by the sins of their fathers, now the siblings are going to try and repair the damage. Sometimes the fights get dirty in business, but when it comes to betrayal among family members, it cuts deeper and it's harder to forgive.
When Reid, the eldest son and heir to an empire, falls hard for Carrie, the enemies daughter, he becomes obsessed with having her, and it seems only Carrie can calm the beast inside Reid.

Good book but felt like there needed more

Loved this book but thought there story wasn't even close to being done. but was worth the listen I just felt a little disappointed

Yeah something's missing

While the 1st in this series is my all time favorite from this series, Kat and Reese are awesome, this one is close. I agree with another reviewer who said something was missing. Too many characters that added nothing to the story really since they were underdeveloped. The brother in Japan, her best friend with the brother, the client with the beef with Reed, these characters just made the story feel choppy and unnecessarily long. I did love the Maxwell siblings dynamic. Glad Reed's story was 1st cuz I love Gabe and want his story to be fun, serious and hot. With that said I really did enjoy this book. Did make me feel a lot better about Reed.

Wicked!

Every war is wicked. Obsession is a wickedly hot romance that keeps pulling you in for more. I can not wait to listen to Carrie and Reids All mine follow-up book. I'm eager to listen to more. Maybe some of my questions in their story will be answered. Lisa, this series is FIRE! I am HOOKED and obsessed!

Love it but a little long!!!

I feel like there was a lot of back and forth that made things seem to drag on a bit..

Very Very Average

I almost returned the book after the first few chapters and decided to keep going and listen hoping it would get better. It just didn’t get better. I was pretty bored listening to this book. Now I wish I had traded it in for another. Joe Arden was way to dramatic in his performance. I think that partly ruined it for me. Mallory did a good job. It was just not that hot and steamy and not that great of a storyline. Just kind of not believable as to why they fell so fast for each other. And throughout the story there was supposed to be done big bombshell that may destroy their relationship and it was kind of like a sad trombone noise at the end because it just wasn’t the big deal I was expecting. Anyway, if you can listen free listen. I wouldn’t waste a credit.

Good except for excessive self-doubt!

Overall opinion: 3.75 Stars

This started with a bang, built my interest, then fizzled a bit as the overly repetitive self doubt nearly drowned the story. The sexy times were varied enough that they did not become background noise. The story itself is strong and I am looking forward to seeing how their story ends.

Carrie and Reid are one amazing compassionate loving couple. Loved this story.
