Dinnerladies is a classic BBC sitcom based around the lives of the staff of the canteen at Manchester factory HWD Components. Written by and starring Victoria Wood a Brenda, these eight classic TV episodes are brilliantly funny, where the jokes fly as thick and as fast as granary torpedoes.
Along with the day to day feeding the faces of folk, the canteen staff Bren, Twink, Jean (and all the others!) have to contend with the arrival of a Royal on site, a Japanese-themed party complete with costumes, and the controversial delivery of new uniforms. And will Tony finally succumb to Brenda's advances?
With a wonderful cast including Victoria Wood, Celia Imrie and Thelma Barlow also star in this trayful of comedy from the BBC hotplate.

Incredibly funny! These show the genius writing of Victoria Wood. As funny here as in the TV. Genius casting. Simply perfect.

An excellent sitcom, by and excellent writer
Dinnerladies is my absolutely favourite sitcom, so to be able to listen to in the car is a dream come true. Written by and co-starring the wonderful Victoria Wood, in faces the day-to-day functioning of a factory canteen. I have to say my description doesn’t do it justice - just listen and you will see.

Victoria at her best
An outstanding series which was Victoria at her best (who can forget the classic line 'wheres my clint')
The only downside is that it's not the complete series, just some of the best episodes.
This is a great way to listen to one of the best sitcoms.

Easy comfortable listening to a classic comedy
Just as good to listen to as it was when on tv. You pick up the jokes more from the audio book. A very nice and comfortable listen.
