Publisher's summary

Groundhog Day meets the worst super-spy, ever.

Every time Rueben Peet dies, he "returns" to his body with the memories of what's to come. It seems that he gets to "repeat" his mistakes again and again.

Good thing, too.... Rueben is the worst super-spy ever.

When New York City comes under threat of nuclear destruction, Rueben is the only one who can save the city. But even an infinite number of redos is not enough, for lurking in the background is a nefarious force threatening not only NYC, but also the world.

Rueben and his trusted friends must find a way to stop this evil from consuming everything and everyone. And the only way to do it is by dying again to save the world.

Okay...

This story is okay. premise about time loops are always cool but the MC is a moron who prioritize getting his dick wet instead of trying to save the city and not die.
.
.
.

[[[Spoiler/Complaints]]] There are 2 parts back to back towards the ending of this book where im like "Wow, prioritizes much?"
1. His childhood friend and this chick hes obsessed over gets shot and he immediately runs towards the other chick he creeps on and drops his gun to check on her...like wow its not like your your childhood friend also didnt get shot too...what? and you also dropped your gun!!??!.
2. When they are hiding in this building from these ordinary truck drivers he decides to try to fuck some pussyhole while his friends are literally fighting for their life and his friend ends up dying because of it.
3. Why is this dude some expert fighter after like 4 resets where he fought for 30mins-1hr and he only practice against 1 person who is way below his weight class thats not how that works.
4. The dialog is off putting at times. its like NPCs talking to each other with their single sentence responses. you know how in older games when theres like a 2-3 second pause in between sentences and you can only notice that silence and it makes everything feels robotic. thats how these characters talk to each other at the start of this book its so weird and their interactions arnt even believable.
5. This guy is a complete pussy he cant stand up for himself and the times when he does because he has "confidence" its always un-needed or over reacted.
6. mans dad needs to be in a home because hes gone psycho and is a menace to everyone in their apartment complex. he knows this and when confronted and ask to do so he spazzes out like some weird dope head.
7. I cant stress this enough this guy is a moron. He gets told to tell the Cia or something to help them with the bomb then he says if he goes to them with this information they wont believe him and might do things as a result(we dont know what so we hae to "guess") but how exactly do you know that? have you tried? No. they set up this stupid email thing that convinces everyone but they dont want to do the same thing with a bigger organization? if anything goes wrong reset.

these complaints are everywhere and i have a alot more but these all i want to waste my time listing. so yes this is a book to pass the time with. ear candy so to say nothing to take seriously or really get into. 3/5 for me. i wont pick up the next in the series but thats me.

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
