Welcome to Did God Say That, a podcast where we strive to make God's Word clear AND relatable.

If you're like me, you've heard many, many, "and the Bible says quotes" only to discover that's not exactly what it says, or for that matter, what it means. After years of studying, I've found the Father will speak to you through His Word and tell you exactly what He means.

We will dispel myths, misquotes, mistruths, and misunderstandings of what Scripture says and what it means. We believe that there can be no proper application (how to live the Word) without correct observation (what the text says) and accurate interpretation (what the text means).

We will tackle portions of Scripture that are frequently misquoted and taken out of context. We will look at many untruths created based on denominational doctrines and beliefs that may not align with God's Word, and we will discuss how personal agendas can cloud how we interpret Scripture and apply it.

What You Can Expect:

1. You can expect Biblical truths.

2. You can expect to hear things you may have believed or been taught differently.

3. You can expect humor and laughter

God has given Angela Thornton a unique gift of sharing His Word. You can tell that she really takes her time to study the Bible. Her unique way of sharing God's word has changed the way I look at scripture. Those sayings and phrases that I've heard all my life are not what it really mean. Now, when I hear a sermon, I have to question, "Did God say that?"
