Publisher's summary

"What a fantastic start to a new fantasy series! I love a strong female lead and we were delivered that in spades with Larkspur.... This story is fast paced and exciting right from the start. I can't wait to see what comes next!" - Boundless Book Reviews

From HiJinks Ink Publishing and Shannon Mayer comes The USA Today best-selling Elemental Series beginning with Recurve (book one). With over 1.4 million books sold, Shannon Mayer proves, once again, she can dominate her genre right out of the gate.

"My name is Larkspur, and I am an Elemental."

My people use the power of the earth to sustain life and defy our enemies. I should be at my father's side as a royal princess. But as a half-breed bastard child, that isn't going to happen.

Taken away by the last Spirit Walker, I am meant to train with him so that I can finally stop the false mother goddess and her plans to rule both humans and elementals. I am meant to train so that I can meet her on even ground, but training takes time.

Time is not something we have. The world is coming apart at the seams as the humans rain down destruction upon their own kind and the supernatural world. The false mother goddess is hunting down the most powerful elementals to take the last of their power, and through it all, the secrets of who I truly am begin to spill upward.

I must find the strength to stop the mother goddess and to save our world, but which aspect of my heart will hold me up, and what will it cost me in the end?

Blood of the earth....

Child of Spirit....

Bastard Princess....

Ender....

Protector....

Destroyer.

Wow just wow

This series was amazing! I am not sure what else to say other than it was such a fantastic journey and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I loved the characters and the the battles they all faced. This is a series that I will listen to again and again.

I received a free audio book in exchange for an honest review.

Disappointed Ending

Good book. Good, emotionally charged series. However, I was disappointed in the ending. So much was put into the emotion of the heart of the series that the ending felt.... unconnected. (I refuse to offer spoilers)

Wow. Just . . . wow.

I don't know why I waited so long to read the Elemental books after I finished the Riley Adamson books . . . I guess I thought the Rileyverse would be too hard to live up to, but Lark's story is so closely entwined with Riley's yet still different enough to stand on it's own. I really enjoyed all of the books in this series. I hate seeing them end. Shannon Mayer's world and character building was phenomenal. And there are just enough for a good binge, lol. If you are even a little on the fence about reading these, just jump in and start. You won't regret it.

Wild ride!

Destroyer is a very interesting ride with many emotional ups and downs! Many twists and turns. The story grabs you from the start with exciting and emotionally relatable characters. Many of the prior characters make an appearance in the last book of the series. Great story with many adventures and action. The narrator did a good job!

Larkspur's Epic Journey Concludes... Or Does It?

I may be late to the party in reading this so long after it was published, but this is one EPIC conclusion no matter when you come across this series. It’s dark yet inspiring, tragic yet nurturing, shows betrayal yet trust, and EVERYTHING you expect from Mayer when concluding one of her best series’. Despite “only” being seven books, it somehow feels like Lark’s journey has been so much longer which definitely indicates a truly gifted author. The final ending may not be what everyone would enjoy, but I really appreciate how she let the story take a life of its own and decide its own direction.

The loose ties that remain will now continue in other branches of stories featuring other characters in this world which makes it more exciting than if she were to drag it out further. Prepare yourself to find yourself at the end of Lark’s story but begin down another character’s path in the world Mayer has created. Lark’s story truly concludes; though there are definite opportunities for bits and pieces in the future. Although this is not my favorite series Mayer has written, her writing is wonderful and it should be celebrated as one of the best epic storytellers.

Tear Jerker ending

Great ending to to this series! I like how you weaved the many threads of your (now our) characters into a rich tapestry! So many twists and turns; I had to backtrack to make sure I heard correctly! Lauren F. narration gave this series finale justice. I easily recognized each character and felt the emotions of each.

Great story!

The journey to the final showdown between Lark & Viv finally arrives. Hope & love help see Lark through to the end, fitting all the puzzle pieces together to gain understanding. Great sacrifices are made & not everyone is who you thought they were.

excellent

I think your books should be made into little mini series on HBO or something like Game of Thrones because that's how good I think these books are these would be something nobody's ever seen using the elements of the earth it would be fantastic
