Satisfying and Comforting

I listened to his first book "Journey of Souls" and liked it but found it a bit geeky and dry, but maybe that was only because I usually listen to fiction (thrillers and mystery). I could only listen for about 15 - 40 minutes, then had to quit or stop and think about it, but it was very good and when I realized there was a second book, I had to get it. This seems to be easier for me to listen for hours and I really like it. I hope he does more.

The geekiness of the first book is what makes it believable to me: this is not a guy that is hearing only what he wants to hear and manipulating people into saying what he wants to hear. He approaches in an investigative and scientific way -- he really didn't know where this would take him. When I pay attention to his method, I'm really impressed with how he asks questions of his patients under hypnosis without implying the answer he expects. He merely reports what he hears, he has no agenda.

I am not religious but do believe in life after death and have pieced together my own logic from what I've read various places and what just makes sense to me. I consumed all the "New Age" stuff back in the day, but eventually found that too fluffy and airy-fairy for my tastes, though like organized religions, they have good intentions and have some truths. Everyone has to find what resonates with them and what they feel comfortable with. What is told in his books fits with what I'd figured out in general, but fills in much more detail. Try one of his books if you are curious. The narration is good too.

One of the best books I have ever listened to !!

This book is the culmination of years of research into between lives hypnotic regression and is based on hundreds, if not thousands of accounts of real patients by a classically trained psychiatrist who did not even believe in reincarnation. When one of his patients suddenly enters a past life, the psychiatrist had to re- examine all he thought was true. Holds your interest from the firs page and never let's up. It leaves the reader yearning for more information on this. Life changing subject. It has changed my life forever- for the better This book gives us as good a peek behind the workings and organization of the Universe as I think we will ever get during life. You will not be sorry you read it !!

I don't get it

I don't understand the 5 star ratings of this book. it made me naseous. I have read many books on this topic. this book and narrarator made me sick. it's mostly "subject says this , and Doctor N says this. I was hoping for stories but this was a clinical diary that didn't go anywhere, so bad.

Life changing.

I have read a lot of spiritual books but this is one of those life changing books. Everything else gives bits and pieces but this really brings it all together. You can never be the same after you read it.

I guess those who are lucky enough to get this information can definitely speed up their spiritual quest. Everything has a tune and place and probably that's why I found this when I did.

Awesome job with narration and all credit to the author.

I Love Reincarnation, Unfortunately This . . .

person comes across as a charlatan. This book ridicules the subject and possibilities of reincarnation with it's shallow handling. If you would like to reduce reincarnation to the experience of a college education then get this book. I kept thinking all of these stories he describes are the lack luster pipe dreams of a professional student—good grief! If the afterlife is this shallow, this lacking, this uninspiring then please God let my spirit expire now never to reignite. You may as well listen to someone read a printer manual as to listen to this book. Unfortunately, I think he's a fake and so are his patients. I certainly hope there's more to reincarnation than this author describes. I read "Many Lives Many Masters" and found it to be much more credible.

Not quite convincing

What did you like best about Destiny of Souls? What did you like least?

How come he never asked anyone about a date or something specific from the past lives ?
Wasn't he curios to pick a date or an event from the past and check with the history books ?
