Publisher's summary

He stole her lyrics, and then he stole her heart.

Lyric Cassidy is off the tour, lost as to what her next career move will be, and certain that she'll never love again after Wolf. All because of a social media scandal that left her with no choice but to pack up and face the consequences. When she learns that the fate of her career is in her hands, she has a difficult decision to make. Step back on the tour bus with Wolf and deal with the mess she left behind, or end her contract early and lose her job at Perform Live?

Wolf's shattered heart finds no resolve in giving Lyric a chance to come back on tour. He can never be with her again. Not after she walked away. Conflicted with wants and needs, he struggles to remember who Wolf was before Lyric. That's what he needs to become again. Maybe then his heart will be safe. Or maybe there's no hope for the damaged.

But with stolen dreams, betrayals, and terrifying threats - no one's heart is safe. Not even the ones that may be destined to be together.

A Nice Ending

The narration is winning with K.K. Allen's books. I thoroughly enjoyed the narrators. It honestly makes this book more enjoyable because I had a fee eyeroll moments and had it not been for the wonderful voices of the narrators. it would have taken me much longer to finish this book. So I recommend this book for the narration alone.

The second book in this duet is filled with some drama. I was annoyed by it at first, but when Lyric and Wolf get over their pain, I really starting enjoying the story again. I also enjoyed the drama filled twist. It really made me feel bad for Lyric and understand her a lot more. So yes, I still liked this book, just as much I liked the first book in the duet.

Well done!

The voices are so well done and the perfect pick for the heroine and hero. This book is more than a sexy rock story. There is some suspense and a well written plot too. Enjoy!!

The end of an epic rockstar love story

A Stolen Melody Duet is the one series by KK Allen that I always recommend. I've never been able to forget Wolf and Lyric since I read their epic story in 2017. Back then, I had to wait months for the second book to release. And after the ending of Dangerous Hearts, I was not ok!

Destined Hearts is fast-paced and intense. So much happens after Lyric is offered two choices: either go back on tour with Wolf but with a lesser role or resign and be out of a job. Lyric loves her job, the one constant over the past ten years, and the place where she has made a name for herself and away from her famous parents.

Wolf's trust in Lyric has been compromised. They both have to deal with their feelings and the lingering hurt and fears from their pasts. They belong together, yet their journey is heartbreaking. When Lyric finally lets Wolf in, it is pure magic! They were already hot and steamy in the first book, but they are simply scorching here.

The characters are amazing, with Mitch Cassidy taking the top spot! Crawley is despiteful and a creep. And Destiny... well, she is a handful. A lot happens in this book, and there is no shortage of drama. But love, music, and the truth eventually prevail.

For my reread of the series, I listened to the audiobook. I really enjoyed Lynn Barrington and John Masterson's narration. They really embodied Lyric and Wolf!

Last minute plot twist

Why do author's feel the need to throw in ridiculously unplausible plot twists 3/4s of the way into these things? This was a very good rock star love story with believeable characters, good backstories and a slow burn romance. It did not need a crazy twist!

Overall this is a great duet with a long over arching plot, it just goes completely off the rails for a few chapters and then wraps up with hast.

Even better than the first!!

Any additional comments?

I read this Duet and already knew how much I loved Lyric and Wolf but "hearing" these characters really brought this story to life. Lynn and John did a fabulous job making me feel every emotion as it happened! If you don't know Lyric and Wolf's story, you are missing out! I promise their story will quickly become one of your favorites❤

Yes!

Book review: Destined Hearts, what shall I say? First off, I think Ms. Allen should write a romantic suspense/thriller, I think she would rock it! And that comment won't make any sense until you READ THIS BOOK!

This book returns to Lyric and Wolf as they try and reconcile the ending of Dangerous Hearts. These people throw themselves back in together. They have to figure out where they stand with each other once more and lay all their secrets out on the table, especially Lyric , who is still struggling her past.

As with the first volume in this duology, it is quite explicit in both language & bedroom content. (So not for the younger fans of Ms. Allen's Summer Solstice series!)

I love how Wolf and Lyric communicate. Yes, it takes a while for Lyric to get everything out, but she does it well before the end. Also have to mention Terese, everyone should have a friend like her in their lives, someone who will give it to them straight. Lastly, Crawley, such a creep (well done!) every time I read his dialogue, I heard Crawley from Supernatural in my head. (Now you try not to!)

As for the end, wow! Lyric is no damsel in distress, she's a kick-ass heroine! Way to go, Ms. Allen!

I received an advanced viewer copy (I also preordered the kindle version and NEED the paperback on my shelf!) I can't wait for another K.K. Allen novel!

Audio review: I loved it! I’d already heard the duo in Dangerous Hearts but the male reader dropped his ‘sad cat diary’ inflections and it was much smoother to my ears.

Fully involved in the story

4.5 stars - Picking up right where Dangerous Hearts left off, Destined Hearts took some twists and turns I never saw coming and had me so involved, I was yelling at the characters for not figuring out the obvious. Lol. I loved getting to know Wolf’s band mates better and had a major crush on Lyric’s dad by the end of the book. I only wish I could actually hear some of the songs whose lyrics were in the story.
