The "powerful and emotionally charged" fantasy series from the author of the Sevenwaters novels continues, as Blackthorn and Grim face haunting secrets and old adversaries.

Feather bright and feather fine, none shall harm this child of mine.

Healer Blackthorn knows all too well the rules of her bond to the fey: seek no vengeance, help any who ask, do only good. But after the recent ordeal she and her companion, Grim, have suffered, she knows she cannot let go of her quest to bring justice to the man who ruined her life.

Despite her personal struggles, Blackthorn agrees to help the princess of Dalriada in taking care of a troubled young girl who has recently been brought to court while Grim is sent to the girl's home at Wolf Glen to aid her wealthy father with a strange task - repairing a broken-down house deep in the woods. It doesn't take Grim long to realize that everything in Wolf Glen is not as it seems - the place is full of perilous secrets and deadly lies.

Back at Winterfalls, the evil touch of Blackthorn's sworn enemy reopens old wounds and fuels her long-simmering passion for justice. With danger on two fronts, Blackthorn and Grim are faced with a heartbreaking choice - to stand once again by each other's side or to fight their battles alone.

I love Juliette's writing and her way of weaving stories. I was captured with this book and the 2 preceding it from beginning to end. I will keep these stories with me as I not only find them enjoyable, but also meaningful with life lessons and values. These books have inspired me to stay strong, brave, and truthful and do my best to be a light in this world.

Would you listen to Den of Wolves again? Why?

Yes! Great Story, Great narration!

What did you like best about this story?

Everything! Adventure,Magic... The character development is logical given the challenges and solid foundation laid in previous books. Believable but not without surprises.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

Blackthorn, Grimm, Bry - hard to decide but probably Blackthorn most

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were quite a few of these, times I should have turned off the audio and got busy or went to sleep- and then I was forced to as the battery ran down!

Any additional comments?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me this is not the end of Blackthorn and Grimm's journey - more from Prince Orin and his family, more of them All...except for one of them.....

MORE PLEASE!

Would you listen to Den of Wolves again? Why?

I am so sad that this is the last Blackthorn and Grim book - I need more! I've already listened to it twice - the same with the first two books too.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love Blackthorn and Grim both equally, and this time, there's a dog to love too!

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

They are all great. I've raved about the narrators in my reviews on the books 1 and 2 in the series and it's great that they're back for this last one. I couldn't stand it if they changed one of them!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My extreme reaction was when I finished the book, because it sunk in that there are no more books in the series! So I read all three again.

Any additional comments?

As other reviewers have mentioned, the relationship between Blackthorn and Grim is platonic, which is so refreshing to see. The bond between them is unbreakable, and they would do anything for each other. They are damaged people, connected through their shared trauma. They support and love each other through anything and everything, and that makes me feel good!!!

I need more Blackthorn and Grim!
