Publisher's summary
In this third book of the Demon Rift series we get a look at how things work on the demon side of the veils between the worlds—and how adventuring looks to the servants who go along to cook the meals and take care of the wagons. And how a demon in the form of a dinosaur ended up the majordomo of Carl's Not So Bad Caverns.
We also learn about what's going on in France and England while Pucorl and the twenty-firsters are in Constantinople. We meet a few gods, make a few deals, and even see a truly magical kiss and some of its consequences. All in all it's a fun romp through the magic of Pucorl's lands in Elysium.
And if you don't already have them you'll want the first two books in the series: The Demons of Paris and The Demons of Constantinople.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. The West Wing meets the X men. How does politics deal with people, often citizens, who are suddenly gifted with special powers—and an extra set of memories. Magic has started working! But it's not legitimate magic. Not the magic of Merlin or the powers of psychics. Instead it is the magic of a silly game. A Role Playing Game called Warspell and other games like it. The sort of games played with oddly shaped dice and little lead figurines by even odder people. And now not only is this silly sort of magic working, but the oddballs who play the games suddenly have special powers. Some of ...
