I love getting a sweet and sexy short novella for a couple you loved in another book. Jason and Truly were a fun and great couple from Instant Gratification, book 2 of the Always Satisfied series. In this novella we get to hear the story of their first night together and when they started to fall in love which is where their story started at in book 2. These two have perfect chemistry, great banter and will sweep you off your feet. I'm so glad Lauren Blakely is giving us the missing pieces of the stories in this series.

This book has Sebastian York narrating just the "fairy Tale" telling of their story while Shane East and Andi Arndt narrate the story, All three narrators are perfect as always.

Re-listened. Yep, love this book. Shane is amazing. Only complaint here is the constant repeating of "we can't be together because of my brother/friend" that got really old.

Unnecessary- just listen to Instant Gratification

I’m glad that this was just an audible selection and I didn’t actually use a credit for it because it’s reworked from a previous but it didn’t really flow as well and I felt a little bit lost while listening. Of course I love Shane east, Andi Arndt, and Sebastion York and hearing their voices was great but I think I’m ready to just get into the book and didn’t need the pre-novella.

Prequel Perfection

Delayed Gratification is such a fun novella-yet it doesn't feel like a novella at all. This story is full of flirting, sexiness-and friendship. It's a fascinating mix that is executed perfectly.

I loved getting to see how Jason and Truly's relationship began. Their friendship is believable, but those undertones of something just a bit MORE between them cannot be denied. I loved seeing how they came together-and what led them to where they are in Instant Gratification.

I cannot say enough about how much I love the way this book is performed. I loved the use of Sebastian York here as Spencer; his little additions just had me grinning and wondering how to get Sebastian to narrate portions of my daily life lol. Shane and Andi embody these characters brilliantly and just breathe life right into them. I could listen to them all day!

This is technically a prequel to Instant Gratification but it can be enjoyed just as much after that book! I loved this performance; it's one I'll listen to again for sure.

Love this novella!

Delayed Gratification is a prequel novella to Instant Gratification by the fabulous Lauren Blakely. It can be read either before or after Instant Gratification as this is how Jason and Truly met. One thing that Lauren can do better than anyone else is give us a novella that feels like a full length novel. We get all the foreplay, lust, fun, laughs and friendships packed into a small package. This is the perfect novella to wrap up Instant Gratification or to whet your appetite for Jason and Truly's full story!

Audio: Shane and Andi have done it again! I loved listening to how Jason and Truly met and only Shane and Andi could give me what I want!

Swoon!!! A perfect prequel.

A hot British guy walks into a bar. Instant Gratification tells you Jason and Truly's HEA, but this book tells you how they met, and the forming of an instant friendship. They're immediately attracted to one another, but fate decided it wasn't their time. I love how they supported one another, and were great friends. Their banter was too cute.

Listening to this was quite fun because we know they end up together. Yet, it didn't feel like a spoiler, just the very beginning of their eventual epic love story. Anytime I get to hear Shane and Sebastian is a treat. And Andi does a wonderful narration of Truly.

Steamy novella that is the perfect teaser to Instant Gratification. I can’t wait to listen to more of Jason and Truly’s story. Great narration by Andi Arndt and Shane East. The interlude narration by Sebastian York was a nice touch.

Perfect teaser to lead into the main story! I didn’t realize this one linked to Big Rock - so happy to have some of those characters back again!
