To the naked eye, Deuce is living the dream as the infamous wide receiver for the Atlanta Demons. He has it all, and nothing is stopping him from gaining more, until he comes across a situation that takes him back to his painful childhood. In a split-second, rage sparks within Deuce, and his actions threaten everything he's built, but in his mind, there is no other way to address the situation he stumbled upon.

Koya wants to help Deuce, but he's hesitant to allow her to do so. She knows she'll have to try hard to convince Deuce that even though she works for the Atlanta Demons, she has his best interest at heart. As Koya works hard to show her loyalty to Deuce, her heart breaks open for him, and she realizes that she wants to be the person who helps heal him. She wants to be the advocate and lifeline Deuce never had but deserved.

Koya and Deuce's journey can either be the most beautiful love story one could imagine, or it could be a disaster that blows up not only their personal lives but also their professional ones. They'll have to decide what's most important to them along the way and hope they can come out on the other end whole.

Slow slow churn (there is no burn)

This story is too slow. Mostly about depression, abuse, refering to football. A depressing & slow beginning...nothing at all happening.

The storyline was great but the delivery was boring too me. The character development and how their relationship grew into something romantic was nice. The drama that existed had the potential to be exciting. There was just something about how the story was told that made it boring and difficult to get through.

Loved It!!

Their love was quiet and loud all at the same time. So sweet. The way they pushed each other and supported was amazing. The writing and narration was chefs kiss!
