The fog of war clouds everything. Enemies lurk in the shadows, within the very fleet sworn to protect United Earth. Conspiracies and murder abound, and in the background.... The stalled alien invasion lurks.
The Golgothic ship has burrowed deep into the core of Saturn's moon Titan, whose mass slowly but inexorably increases. The Dolmasi, once allies of United Earth in the Second Swarm War, now attack us, unhinged and without reason. And all the while, Admiral Shelby Proctor works to answer the most urgent questions of all: what was a piece of the old ISS Victory doing inside the Golgothic ship? And was it Captain Tim Granger's voice that whispered from the doomed ship, "Shelby, they're coming?"
And ...are they the Swarm? If they are, God help us all.

But when I reach for my personal imprisonment device, a spark goes off. Now cradling my precious I look to see how many hours, minutes I have of escape time. Because of this I am now a Granderite. So thank you Mr. author and word speaker for these moments of respite.

1. So many parts of ranting, repeating, irritating fluff that doesn’t progress the story or tell us anything new
2. Advice for other readers: Don’t start to like any other character besides the main 2 characters because they will die. Death is constant and ongoing…
3. For all the pain and hurt and trouble that the “bad guy” causes in these stories, you can at least drag out the “bad guys’” final punishment into something more satisfying than “Boom. They’re dead.” The reader sits through all the pain they cause and characters lost by their actions, the frustrations of the villain thwarting plans… then when the time finally comes that we get payback…. “Missile. Explosion. Dead.”… and not even from the villains perspective…
4. If you don’t want the only emotion that you solicit from readers to be irritation and anger, stop having every politician and Military Officer witness the same incident as the hero does but say the exact opposite of the truth against the hero. Or tell us WHY they misconstrued the situation. I feel that details are missing to give us perspective as to why people are getting differing understandings while being witness to the same event.
5. Some things are being missed in the story. For random example, the story will say “the fleet was meeting them head on. They were in a standoff. Proctor was trying to figure a way out of this. Then tactical reported the missile was destroyed.” Wait… what missile? Where did the missile come from? There were several times that something was described that just came out of nowhere.
And lastly, it irritates me that Civic has become such an asshole since he joined the fighter squad. But that’s more a personal comment about the storyline and character development.
All in all, I do enjoy these stories. I just feel they could be better. I’m pretty much just depressed or angry through the whole book with the loss of any character other than the mains at some point in the story and
