Hunter's Story!

At last, Hunter get is a story. Moreover, Lara Adrian does an awesome job! "Deeper than Midnight" was interesting and flowed very way. So well, I could not stop listening, until the book was finished. The story pulls you in! Corinne and Hunter were a great team. The story has the kind of ending that make you want more.

Hunter and Corinne Bishop were able to find their way by taking their journey of faith and will. Which ends up being love and them finding their child. Which Corinnes' son. They have live and family with each other. She was able to stay focused with her heart and in the she was rewarded with more love.

ANOTHER GREAT ONE!!!

I was counting the days waiting for this next story to come out and it was worth the wait. Hunter and Corrine's story was very touching. I not only listened but read the book as well. BIG props to Hilary Huber she totally brings you in to the story I almost wish I could meet a "Warrior from the Order".
I have read AND listened to all of the stories (more than once) and I love the fact that none of the stories are the same they all have their own story line. I am so over Dragos and ready for him to go down but I am sure when Lara gives us that story she is going to do it good.
Can't wait till Chase's story is realeased (FYI if you buy the book at the end Lara gives you a quick glance of the begining of Chase's story).

A bit of a disappointment-still good!

Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of this series, and if you are as well, this book is a must listen/read. The story, as usual, is well written and the narrator does a fabulous job. We get to revisit most of the couples from the previous books, continue to build up the struggle between the Breed and the evil Dragos, and we see a lot of Sterling Chase and his downward spiral; and there my friends is where the disappoint comes into play. Hunter has been one of my fav???s since being introduced and I was so looking forward to his story, and well, in my opinion he was cheated! I???ll bet if I go back and try to add up the time spent on Hunter and Corrine???s love story, it???s only a little over a quarter of the book. The bulk of this book focuses on the Breed back in Boston, Dragos??? shenanigans???, and Sterling Chase, all of it good mind you, but I wanted more of Hunter and Corrine. This book is still a good addition to the series and worth the credit.

Hm... The Love Story? YES!

I've read all of the reviews and some of them state disappointment at the love story between Corinne and Hunter was second when it came to Chase's "downfall".

While I agree that the story had a wee bit less focus on the "main" characters than others, I don't think this was totally centered on Chase.

As this is the penultimate book in the 1st part of the Midnight Breed series, there was a lot of tying up loose ends of a few storylines that lingered and we've (I've 😉) been waiting for like SPOILER START *** Tess and Dante*** SPOILER END.

It also has a fast gear up to what is going to be a showdown of showdowns and final book of part 1 with Dragos and his many aka's.

I feel the abrupt ending is poignant as to what we can expect in the next book. I would be itchy and discontent like I am with GOT if I had to wait for the great storytelling of the author to compete the final book. But alas, that book is already out with the download completed to me to start the listen.

I loved the love story between Corinne and Hunter. I did think that it moved a bit fast... with Hunter discovering feelings for the first time and knowing how to please a woman although he's a virgin... Buuuut... this is fiction! So it is good in my book!

Despite it all, their story was sweet and out of all of the books so far in this series, this was the couple I was rooting for that most because they TRULY DESERVED their HEA!

The ending feels unfinished

I am all for Cliffhangers but this left like three or four story lines unfinished. I found myself saying "What! that's it?" at the end. it kind of felt like she just stopped writing and didn't tie up Loose Ends.

WOW…END CAME TO A SCREECHING HALT !!

I absolutely love this series and for the first time listening to a series I hoped that it just kept going, never ending…but, that said, this book #9 came to a too abrupt end. I was hoping, after having waited for Hunter & Corrine's story, that we'd get to be at least a few steps closer to an HEA ending, but alas, we don't know what's happening with them or with them & Nathan. Hoping that in future Books we'll get to find out; I really wanted to hear of Hunter & Corrine having an HEA. Call me a hopeless romantic, but they, of all people (Breed & Breed Mate) deserved it.

my favorite i think!

omg this whole series has been AWESOME!! I first started my audible journey with dark romances... I quickly stumbled upon BDB, which was an EPIC BINGE! I thought it was going to be hard to beat (which was correct...) until I got into the Lords of the Underworld series, that was pretty good albeit a little hit and miss. THEN I found this series, and I'm so glad I did! this was just as awesome and I think hunter has been my favorite thus far. watching his character develop was totally worth it! like others have said, I wish there was a LITTLE bit more focus on the couple, but I get it that the plot has to develop and this IS nearing the end. great suspense and cliffhanger there at the end. I highly recommend this series!
