Publisher's Summary

Hired to lead the excavation of caverns deep beneath Area 51, Philip Mercer finds himself drilling straight into the epicenter of an age-old conspiracy. A reclusive order of Himalayan monks, through special knowledge of the earth's tectonic movement, has predicted the end of the world - and is determined to see the prediction unfold accordingly.

Now, with icebergs floating through the South Pacific and a thermonuclear bomb set to destroy an island paradise, the stage is set for Armageddon - and it is up to Philip Mercer and the beautiful, mysterious Tisa Nguyan to prevent a cataclysm beyond imagination.

Horrible pronunciation and borderline racist accents

Enjoyable story as always from Du Brul, but the performer was terrible. His accents/voices were so stereotypical for each individual that I thought they could have been from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Then there was his constant mispronunciation of one of the most common names from Vietnam.

Read this book and you’ll enjoy it. The story is a blast, just please don’t listen to it.

I DID IT AGAIN

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

NO, J CHARLES IS TERRIBLE

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

THE PLOT WAS OK BUT CHARLES JUST RUINS THE STORY

Would you be willing to try another one of J. Charles’s performances?

NO THIS WAS THE SECOND AND LAST TIME

Could you see Deep Fire Rising being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

NO

Any additional comments?

J CHARLES JUST CAN'T DO ACCENTS. HIS ASIAN ACCENTS ARE COMICAL

Good book but....

Liked the story but was not a fan of the guy reading the book. The way he read the women parts were annoying.
