Engaging!

If you could sum up Deep, Dark in three words, what would they be?

Engaging, fast-paced, fantastical.

If you’ve listened to books by Jonathan Maberry before, how does this one compare?

I'm not a science fiction fan, but Mr. Maberry hooked me in on this story.

Which scene was your favorite?

I enjoyed the suspenseful set-up - you don't know what they're going to find when they are descending an elevator deep into the earth - but you know it's terrifying.

best short story ever!

Reads like a movie, and if it was a movie, it would be one of the best ever. Exciting, fast moving, scary, and yet with a core of humanity and, yes, hope.

Deep, Dark Gets Better Everytime I read it

Government Lies that change the lives of unknowing citizens with the idea they are helping all citizens are the worst lies.

a great Ledger short

A bit with Joe, Bunny, and Top trying to make the right call as to who the real terrorists are in this little situation; the soldiers who had been lied to or the scientists who did the deed. I think Joe made the right call.

Great short story

This short episodic is an excellent little contribution to the Joe ledger series. It had the emotional power of patient zero and fit perfectly into the horror genre that contributes to oddities he faces.

This is here

Dislike what is happening to our world. But I know it is happening and there is not a thing I can do. That is what makes me so sad. A story like this shows there are still good people in the world that can act on it for us. Will look for other story’s by this author to make me feel better

Short but good

This is the third short story follow-up to Patient Zero. As with the preceding short story, this story isn't directly related to Patient Zero other than it involves the DMS's Echo Team.

This story features Echo Team and Joe Ledger at their best and let's just say has a fitting ending.
