Publisher's Summary

The demands of the times we are in can be so heavy on us that we lose grip on our strength and will to keep our lives organized. We get to juggle a lot of things, chasing an elusive happiness by gathering more and more unneeded items that will eventually complicate and clutter our homes, offices, and eventually, our lives.

While there are ephemeral satisfactions we derive from buying new items and refusing to let go of the old ones that we have become emotionally attached to, we can not deny the fact that many times, less is more.

In fact, a part of your energy should be dedicated to decluttering your life so that you can erase the chaos out of your life. You are working on creating a simple life, one that is decluttered, a mind that is clear of outside noise, and an internal self that is happy and contented. Living an extraordinary life has to start from within you.

This audiobook has been written to guide you in keeping clutter out of your life both internally and externally. It comes with a lot of tips and techniques that you can adopt to minimize clutter and even to eliminate clutter from your life totally.

Half of book is law of attraction...

While I don't mind this topic, it's not why I bought a book about decluttering!!

Good audio book.

I also donated an entire trunk full of books, CD, and DVDs to my local library. Then a friend told us about Marie Kondo's book .At ten months on Kon Mari we are at 250 garbage bags. When we hit 90 we felt accomplished and proud, when we hit 210, we felt disgusted but still accomplished.

I like audio book.

I think someone with two or three rooms would have a worse time getting done in one day. Kondo doesn’t mention the bathroom, the kitchen, or the bedroom which I consider part of my tidying up.

Nice audio book.

A must read for EVERYONE !! Although I consider myself organized, I was really surprised to see many things I was not aware of or many things I was handling differently which in turn caused clutter.

Excellent audio book.

I can’t wait to start getting my house in order. Simple concepts that should be easy to follow. It has kick-started my much needed tidying /decluttering . I don’t know if it will be magic or get my house in order but it is worth a try.

Welcome audio book.

This sounded like good advice even though I was guilty of this shocking behavior. I thought it made sense because you could stretch out the tops of your socks. But this was NOT Kondo’s reasoning:

Nice audio book.

Love this audio book, and the shift of our perspective in so many aspects of our lives. Great if you’ve seen tidying up on Netflix, recommend the spark joy audio book to help answer “how to” questions you may have.

THIS book made a difference!

There are books on decluttering- organizing tidying up bla bla bla ... I’m never gonna be that magazine ready house keeper BUT... I feel like I can finally start to get this mess under control. As an artist and a YouTube vlogger - I’m forever bringing new products into the house ... on top of that I tend to constantly repeat this mantra “ I don’t have time!” I’m that excited ( not in a good way) about repeating this over and over again - like when I have to put things away upstairs- I don’t have time for that! I place things on a chair so that I can carry them up later ( I don’t have time later either) when I wash clothes I don’t have time to actually fold them.

Useful book

I am glad to have this book due to the organized ideas and tips. I'm finally beginning to get organized, recommend this book to anyone struggling with clutter in the home, easy to read and follow, something to refer back to throughout the year. You show that it is possible to do both. If this sounds familiar, then this is the book for you! In Organizing Your Home, you will find the tools you need to succeed! I recommend this book. Goes, to show I still can learn tips on organizing.

The best book on decluttering!

I loved listening to this book. It has great motivation and ideas for decluttering. It also addresses mental and psychological clutter as to how to free your mind. I felt a sense of serenity, peace and understanding throughout the book. Well written and well narrated.

A must read if you struggle with clutter!

I have read many books on organization and nothing seemed to help. I’d get more containers and still stuff would be overwhelming. Author writes from the voice of experience about how she was able to deal with all of her stuff in a way that makes sense to those of us who aren’t born organized. The step by step process has set me on a path that I have only dreamt about. Not only do I have way less stuff, I know where to find it, and it fits in the container where it goes! Such freedom!

Decluttering for real people

No complicated concepts here! Great, fast read that made me want to put it down and go get rid of some stuff! Perfectly folded t-shirts, etc. Her practical advice helps you stay focused , motivated, and moves you toward progress even if you work 5 minutes at a time . It's not necessary to read her other book first, but keeping house better seems to go hand in hand with too much clutter so I would suggest both books with this one second. I will read both again.

This book gives me hope.

I have read organizing books for creative folks, for procrastinators, for hoarders, for neat-freaks, for Earth Mothers, for Martha Stewart types. So why do my bedside table and the pile of stuff on the floor on my side of the bed still exist, let alone make my husband plot his divorce filing every night when he sees they're still there? (He does, really - I'm pretty sure I can read the thought bubbles over his head.)

Love this book!!

I was skeptical as I began reading about her method, but it has changed my life. That is not an exaggeration. I used so much mental space thinking about what I needed to clean or feeling guilty. It is worth every penny.

Awesome book

I've ready many decluttering books over the years. None really motivated change. This one does because it's realistic about how you tackle the project while living a busy life and it addresses the mindset that creates the clutter in the first place.
