Publisher's Summary

Deck the halls with knives, chains, and dangerous children’s toys!

Team Alpha is celebrating the holidays, but a surprise blizzard has snowed them in at Bossman and Papa P’s house, along with a few friends.

Not that Papa P minds. He’ll take any excuse to keep his loved ones close and stuff them full of good food.

It’s not only snow that’s flying through the air, however. Omega counselor Dean and team beta leader Sam may have found more than a little holiday cheer while joining the team’s holiday festivities.

And Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without Bossman and Papa P recounting the joy of their anniversary and the hard times that came before.

This book is best enjoyed if you’ve already listened to the previous Team Alpha stories, as there are plenty of in-jokes, purple sparkly knives, and growing children sprinkled throughout this tale. As always, you can expect some naughty knotty fun, humor not suitable to share with your mother-in-law, and all your favorite characters.

Trigger warning: Graphic violence and mention of human trafficking. HEA definitely included. Intended for listeners 18 and above only. Seriously, would you expect anything less from Susi Hawke and Crista Crown?

Love Found at a Christmas Party

I love the Alphabits series and have read each book in the series but didn't realize it started here. I loved how Sam and Dean met at Papa P's Christmas Party. I liked the A.L.P.H.A. series as well and this book allowed me to learn more about Papa P and Bossman's relationship. This is a fun read with some serious moments but definitely not a standalone because of the characters that are from the other books. Listening to this book added a depth to the story that I enjoyed and the narrator did a great job keeping me interested and giving individuality to all the characters within the story.

Basically 2 stories in one

This was a great story with a bonus. We finally get Boss Man’s and Papa P’s story. Additionally, there is the beginning of the Alphabit’s story line. It really is amazing to hear where it all started and why, though Papa P’s story is so tough to hear.

Colin did a great job bringing all the men and their families to life. So glad this one finally came out.

Perfect "Ending" to Team ALPHA

The entire Team ALPHA series has been so wonderful - full of action, snarky laughter, and so much heat. Decked is the perfect ending for this series, giving us not only an "update" on the guys of the team (seeing them and their families at Christmas at Papa P & Ray's) but also giving us Papa P and Ray's story AND the beginning of a whole new series .... The Alphabits!! There's a little bit of the holiday spirit that comes through, making this a perfect listen during the holiday season. Colin Darcy did such an amazing job with all the voices for each of the guys in the team, their mates, Papa P, Ray and now Dean and Sam too. It's easy to follow along with who is speaking and is an entertaining listen. Now.... to go listen to The Alphabits!!

Oh What fun it is to laugh!

Colin Darcy is a new narrator to me but he did a fabulous job on bringing this story to life. As always Susi and Crista did a great job with this book and it was lovely to hear the story of how Bossman and Papa P met. And how Dean and Sam got together, loved this book and I would recommend it 100%

Catch up and meet a new couple!

Sam and Dean meet when both are snowed in at Bossman and Papa P's house during the holiday celebration. What I found some humor in is that Sam shows up for a regular dinner and discovers that he has forgotten about the holiday. So, not only do we get to see all our favorites from ALPHA and see a new couple coming together.

Great Series

I received an ARC of this audio for my honest review. This is a great ending to a fabulous series. We got to see a new couple get together and also learned how Ray saved Justin and how they started up Team Alpha all those years ago. Susi & Crista are a great writing team and Colin does a superb job at narrating all the characters in the series. Next in this group is the Series Alphabits which is also an amazing series by this duo.

Bring in all together!

I love it when a last book brings all the characters together. It also brings in some new characters that will start off the spinoff. I love having all the team Alpha together and finding out more about Justin and Ray's story. This also has the beginning of Sam and Dean from the Alphabits. Then Colin Darcy does such an amazing job with this one too. I just love his voice and how he brings this whole story to life. Definitely an amazing series!

A holiday wrap up to the Team A.L.P.H.A. series

This is the last book in the Team A.L.P.H.A. series, and I highly recommend that you have read and/or listened to the rest of the series before this as the in-jokes are flowing freely.

In this story, we hear Justin and Ray's, or Papa P and the Boss man's story, along with the inception of Sam and Dean's new mating. Two relationships that begin at Christmas under very different circumstances.

It was great to see the whole gang together with all the kids and all the love between the families. The story was heartbreaking at times, but extremely happy at others. Plus, it is the introduction to the spin-off series, Alphabits, that Sam proposes to the Boss man as a new task for Team Beta. All in all, a good, quick listen, and a nice finale of the series.

Colin Darcy did a good job with the narration. There were a couple of times when he wasn't as smooth with the dialogue as usual, but overall, it is still an enjoyable listen.

Bossman and Papa P's story - love it!

So, this is a nice way to round off the Team Alpha series by telling us how Bossman found Papa P and the idea for the team came about. It's also an introduction to two of the characters from the spin-off series Alphabits, which is also a wonderfully fun series. Colin Darcy does a wonderful job with this book as all of the Team ALPHA members and mates appear at some point during the course of events. This is a fun holiday novella and I highly recommend this if you're a fan of True Mates and HEAs.

Entertaining!

Decked is book 7 in the Team A.L.P.H.A series and you need to have read at least some of the previous books or have an idea of what the series is about. I've read a couple of these books and all of the Alphabits series, so I had an idea of what I was getting into.

Ever since I listened to Rescued (Alphabits book 1), I'd been intrigued over how Sam and Dean got together and learning more about Papa P and Ray's story. It was hot and fun and just perfect for the holiday season.

Colin Darcy is a great narrator, but this book wasn't up to speed, so to speak. It was still enjoyable, but some of the POVs were in a slower than usual voice and it made the story drag in certain places.

Some extra holiday cheer and the creation of Alphabits!

I’m loving the Alphabits Series by Susi & Crista and I didn’t realize it started here! Team leader Sam and his omega Dean find each other at Papa P’s Christmas Party! I’ve read all or most of Team A.L.P.H.A. but I still have a hard time keeping everyone straight and whose kids belong to who but the overall premise of this story was enjoyable and I liked learning more about Papa P and the Bossman. Definitely not a standalone and as there are so many characters I’d recommend reading after you’ve recently read the other books! A great end to this series and the lead into another!

Thanks for reading!

Nice wrap-up

For fans of the A.L.P.H.A. series, this book is great. It brings together all the characters from previous books as well as their multitude of offspring into one place – Papa P and Bossman’s home. On Christmas Eve no less and with a storm bearing down on them. Now, I was new to the series but saw the trigger warning and thought there would be action. There was only mention of significant violence and horrible acts. Now, would I describe a flesh circus to young pups? Probably not, but I understood the elders’ need to protect the young ones – warning them of the dangers outside their door.

There is also a hookup leading to a mating in this story, so hot times. Dean is a counsellor and Sam is the leader of team BETA. By all rights the old curmudgeon and the young one shouldn’t be compatible. But they are and it just works. Near the end of the story, they find themselves signing up for a new team – this book is a great lead in for a future series.

If you’re up for Christmas shenanigans, knotty times, and adorable pups, this is definitely the book for you.

Colin Darcy narrated the book and I found his narration style a little different than what I’m accustomed to. It felt like he spoke more slowly and this is a book I might have tried to increase the speed on. But it was good and I enjoyed myself.

Holiday fun with Team Alpha

So many things happen in this book. A new love match with Sam and Dean (which will lead on to the spin off Alphabits). Papa P and Bossman's story which is heartbreaking but filled with hope. Catching up with all the families. This is such a good listen with Colin Darcy narrating. What a beautiful amazing series.
