Publisher's summary

Koren Bladewell now knows he is a wizard, but he is lost in the wilderness, cut off from help, and unable to use his powers. The enemy is poised at the border with an overwhelming invasion force, and it will take wizards, soldiers and a young, untested princess to hold off defeat long enough for Koren to be trained and grow into his power. But he might not wish to help those who deceived him and destroyed his life.

A little hurried

As much setup and detail in the first 2 books seemed too be missing in book 3. Author should have made the book longer and spent more time expanding the new characters. Also seems to be several loose ends that didn't get addressed. 65

Great with a few flaws

There were a few holes in the story that didn’t make a lot of sense but they didn’t ruin the series for me. I think most loose ends were wrapped up nicely. Overall, it was a great book.

Good end to the series

The story was enjoyable, but a little predictable. Reminiscent of the two towers chase through the mountains and valleys.

A slow frustrating story.

A slow story. It's just not a Skippy story. Not a bad story, I just found myself frustrated through all three books.

Awesome well done

I was happy, frustrated, and thrilled. Loved this book I wish there were many more like it. Amazing reading, and the story was wonderfully tied into the end.

Great story!

Characters well developed, storyline clear but enough twists to keep things interesting.
Hope there is a Book 4

great story, a couple surprises, and well written.

great story, a couple surprises, and well written. I was a little thrown by the ages of the ruler, Ariana, and Koren. I loved the strength of the female characters, though the main character/protagonist is Koren.
