Great examples and biblical reasons to avoid debt!

To anyone like me who is in debt and has followed what most people do to keep up with the newest trend, the latest car, the nice vacations, etc... This book is for you, it works, rules are simple, now I rather have a raggedy car or holes in my shoes than owing the "nice things" to Visa. Now I look forward for a positive net worth and be a good manager of the wealth the Good Lord decides to give me. If you have doubts lookup Proverbs 22:26-27

Best Biblical Perspective on Debt I Have Heard

As someone who has extensively struggled financially, struggled out of those messes, studied the Scriptures at length for the right answers, and read and listened to others on the topic of debt, this was the best and most Biblical I have heard. I appreciate that he bases his views squarely on the Bible even when he originally wanted to believe preconceived notions and had to change them. I truly wish more of his books were in audiobook format. I'm going to have to read his Complete Guide To Managing Your Money hard copy I have on the shelf now that I see how good his material is.

Debt free by the bible, not investing.

This was a great book. It talks a lot about debt free living. this book does not address biblical investing or credit very well but that's not the purpose of the book

A sales pitch disguised as a self help book

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This is better for someone looking to purchase their subsequent products

Would you ever listen to anything by Larry Burkett again?

no

What didn’t you like about Wayne Shepherd’s performance?

Wayne was fine.

What character would you cut from Debt-Free Living?

n/a

Any additional comments?

I was very disappointed as my time is valuable. that is why audible is such a wonderful service. The book pitched their products three times within the first seven minutes. the focus on selling their subsequent products overwhelmed any potential financial education.
