Publisher's Summary
The fourth book in the Juniper Grove Mystery series!
Rachel never expected to be caught up in another murder investigation, especially at a wreath-making party. But when a member of the Four Santas, a Juniper Grove caroling group, dies at the party, minutes after telling her he fears for his niece’s safety, she is determined to act.
Eager to hunt down the truth, Rachel throws herself into solving the case, despite her blossoming romance with the town’s police chief. Convinced a killer is targeting the carolers, she must act quickly to get to the bottom of the mystery. Can she unravel a chorus of puzzling clues and crack the case before more carolers die?
This light, cozy mystery offers clean enjoyment with a female amateur sleuth in a small-town setting. No foul language, sex, gore, or graphic scenes of any kind. It can be listened to as a stand-alone, but it will be enjoyed more as part of the series.

All Those Milk and Cookies Can't Be Good For You
The more of the Juniper Grove stories I listen to, the more I enjoy them.
In this book, the members of a barbershop quartet of Santas begin dropping dead and Rachel and her usual accomplices must uncover the secrets that will lead them to the murderer while decorating the tree, making wreaths an baking Christmas cookies. It's a busy life at Christmas but it makes for a great cozy mystery.

Christmas caroling just turned fatal!
Things just went south for the Christmas carol singing group called the Four Santas, but, don't worry Rachel is on the case! The big question is whether Rachel and police chief Gilroy will make it through this case alive and find a killer in time!
Death Of A Santa was another fun journey to Juniper Grove. My favorite characters were present and accounted for in all of their quirkiness and charm. And once again Karin Kaufman treats readers to a cozy mystery that is both fun and keeps you guessing. The list of possible suspects, all with a different motive for murder, is a little surprising and you will be quite entertained while trying to figure out whodunit.
As I did with the previous three books I listened to this one as an audiobook. The production was topnotch as expected. The narrator is one of my all-time favorites for audiobooks. So, if you want to get into the holiday spirit with a little murder and mayhem definitely check out Death Of A Santa, the 4th book in Karin Kaufman's charming Juniper Grove Mystery series.

Someone Killing Santas!
In Death of a Santa by Kaufman, Rachel Stowe goes to a Christmas wreath- making party in her new hometown of Juniper Grove, Colorado. While making the wreaths, the women are visited by the town’s renowned Christmas carolers that call themselves the Four Santas and invite the cold men in for coffee and cookies. Micah Schultz, one of the Santas, pulls Rachel aside and asks her to investigate threatening phone calls his niece, Sonia Quinn, has been receiving. Then, within a couple minutes, Micah falls over and dies. As Chief James Gilman gets involved and discovers that this was murder, Rachel does her own investigating, leading to all kinds of conflict both personal and criminal.
Death of a Santa continues with the previous books in the Juniper Grove Cozy Mystery series in being delightful and creative. The book has a strong mystery plot and characters we become invested in. Further, it is clean of bad language, sex, and violence, ideal for giving to a child who is ready to graduate from Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys.
Becky Doughty performs the audiobook edition of this book and takes on the personality of Rachel, who narrates the book. We become quickly convinced that we are listening to Rachel herself, as Doughty acts the role of the character effectively.
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Death of a Santa. The book was clever, fun, and clean. It’s also a short listen, a mere four hours, so someone who goes through audiobooks more slowly than I do might appreciate the shorter length. I give this book five stars.
