A Cozy Mystery - Accident or Murder?

Sheriff Mike's friend Greg falls overboard from his boat on the way home, following dinner and drinks at his favorite restaurant. Unfortunately, Greg doesn't survive. Was it a tragic accident or something more sinister?

Talented author Dianne Harman details the possible motives people could have for wanting Greg dead. Was it the soon to be ex-wife, the son who hasn't been financially successful, or a criminal who Greg helped incarcerate? The characters seem very real!

Narrator Kasey Logan does a great job with the voices of the various characters.

This cozy mystery is really good!

Excellent

Kelly, Mike and Cash were at the airport going on a vacation to Hawaii, when Mike gets a phone A good friend of his had died and he was the trustee of the estate, Money, greed, came into play. Then bites of conversion come to light, and Mike had to put his sheriff hat on and start looking at the possibility of it being murder. Many suspects, and many reason. Once again they are off for that vacation. Always good to read more about Mike and Kelly and the people in this small town.

Boat in the bay

I really enjoy reading this mystery series! Mike’s close friend has some bad news he had to tell him. But not long after, his friend is dead. Was it just an accident or did someone kill him? The story is set up where there are a lot of possible suspects. I enjoy the regular characters in this series. Kelly does her own investigating, and there’s always some humor and drama along the way. The dogs in the story and the food recipes are an extra bonus!

Who killed a dying man?

Another enjoyable Cedar Bay mystery with Kelly and Sheriff Mike. This book made me sad at parts because the dead man was Mike’s friend, he already had a medical death sentence and his relatives were selfish and scheming. As always, Dianne Harman plots another great cozy mystery and Kasey Logan’s narration brings the characters to life. Highly recommended.

Accident, murder or suicide? It keeps you guessing

I enjoyed this book. This is book 17 in the Cedar Bay Cozy Mystery Series and it's just as good and fresh as the very first book. It's an easy listen and with plenty of suspects to keep you guessing who the killer was, as well as if it was even an accident, murder or suicide. The characters were great and I like the fact that both the husband and the wife find clues to solve the problem, this does mean the story is told by multiple characters. There is a number of returning characters from previous books, giving you the small town feel to the book and it was great catching up with them. I did thing the subject of cancer or the death of Mike's best friend might have been a tear-jerker but that wasn't the case and I found myself enjoying the guessing game as the story unfolded.
Mike's best friend has cancer and knowing his wishes will not go down well with the rest of the family he asks Mike to be executor of the will. He informs them that once the will has been changed two thirds of them will only receive half of what they are expecting. Then Mike gets a phone call to say his friend died in a boating accident. Not able to face the pain the cancer was going to cause was it suicide? With his wife on board Mike doesn't think so. Accident? The couple had been seen drinking a lot and it was late at night. Or was it murder? The more Mike and Kelly talk to people the more the pair suspect maybe. But with everybody pointing the finger at different family members they will have a hard time finding out what really happened on that night.
I liked the narrator she speaks clearly and you have no problems telling which character is talking.
