Well written and entertaining

Each book in the series just better and better. I love Kate and Alex. Kate is confident, independent and capable. Alex is calm, inventive and good natured. Their relationship is realistic and easygoing. The mystery is well plotted and entertaining. I love how the characters interact with each other and how the relationship of Alex and Kate is developing. I've never been a big Jane Austin fan, but, I do enjoy how her books are weaved into the story. I look forward to the next book.

series becoming a new favorite

...and the narrator adds to my appreciation. This narrator has a nice voice and contributes helpful character individuation.

I was thankfully surprised; this recording includes #5 in the series, a novella.

Location Scouting is a high risk job!

One must suspend a bit of disbelief as this series continues - poor Kate runs into more murder as a location scout than she would as an average policeman, I would guess! I enjoy listening to her adventures none the less, and I enjoy hearing about the places she visits. This one was set in Bath, UK, which I've visited myself, so it was particularly interesting to me. I really liked the addition of the holiday novella at the end of this book. Two for one!

Another great book in the series

As a fan of both Jeanne Austin and cozy mysteries, I am loving this series. The only objection I have is that the narrator makes the British accents sound Australian. I find it distracting. Other than that, she does a great job.
